Yea...if he is so set on Juventus, why the hell are we still after him?!?! This is Milan. This is a bigger club than Juventus in the world of football. Sure, doesn't seem like it presently or in the last few years....but Milan is Milan. We need to start acting like it. If when we go after you and offer you a deal, you don't immediately seem excited about it...you can go screw yourself.
Also, now that we have money...we should start fucking around with Juventus's targets too. Sure, maybe they will still choose Juventus presently, but the least we can do is drive the price up and make them demand higher wages.
I hear they are following Douglas Costa, Bernardeschi, Tolisso, N'Zonzi....just start acquiring after those players. Screw Juventus. Give them a taste of their own medicine.

Or he will be extra fired up to beat them. I don't know.
So who did we sign today ?
Come on
he is our best CB except for Roma, IMO. Big, strong, work hard, and can score some goals. Very good back up for Roma & Musa.
We keep Paletta, sign Pepe and Diego Costa .............

That's 10 red cards next season right there.
Things appear to have gone into overdrive regarding rumours last night, with Keita, James, Andre Silva, Diego Costa and pretty much any footballer of any note seemingly linked.
On Keita, I'm waiting to see what occurs. It sounds like his agent will sit and talk to Mirabelli, so I'm curious to know what understanding is reached from it. I doubt Fassone and Mirabelli would go as far as reach an agreement with Lazio and sit and talk to his entourage if they weren't convinced that he wouldn't seriously consider the offer. While he may hold a preference for Juve, I doubt it's just him sitting around and waiting for them as the media suggests, especially given his track record and reason for leaving Barca. I also think we can offer a more enticing project, which he'd be a central piece of unlike at Juve, where he'd be a rotation player at least.
I'm not worried about him preferring Juve, don't forget Weah dreamed of playing for Juve too, but his achievements at Milan and relationship with the club are outstanding.
Why should we offer him (Paletta) a new deal? He still has a year left on the current one. If his agent can't find a club for us to sell him to, than he can stay on the current deal as a rotation/back up. No need for a new deal until next spring...after we see how he does in the new season and what his disciplinary record will be.
It's not as if he is a big asset that we have to protect with a long term deal and fear losing him on a free. At this point, he is probably more useful to us as a back up compared to the 1-3mil we will hopefully receive for him.
@Dev....My worry isn't about him wanting to play for Juventus or dreaming to play for them. That part really doesn't bother me. I am aware that he is not a Milan fan, and that's fine as long as he is professional when he plays for Milan just like the Weah example you provided.
My bigger worry(or annoyance I guess) is that I don't want him and his agent to use that whole thing to "extort" more money from Milan. The offer should be simple, non-negotiable. We shouldn't be upping our offer just to make him choose us over Juventus. If he really wants them that bad, than he can wait for them and deal with Lotito. If not, he can sign the contract on the table by us.
Again, not sure if this is what's happening...but I have a feeling it might be in the mix of all this drama.
