Would have been a great buy a couple of years ago. But I'd imagine we would have look for another young goalie to replace Donnarumma.

The planning on squad building is not going to change should Donnarumma leave.

I think Perin would be the best choice.
I agree that Perin is probably the best choice for the money.

I am getting so annoued at this Donnarumma situation that I am actually hoping that he gets sold. Yes, I will be fine with it if he stays but it really pisses me off that this has become a saga. Someone that lives that club would not create all this fuss. He clearly has doubts about staying at Milan. He apparently says he never said he wanted to leave, but clearly he didn't oppose not renewing. Raiola didn't reject the proposal without Gigio's consent, that's for sure. And even after all this, it still seems like we are begging for him to stay while he is still dragging his feet. It is unreal to me that his agent holds s press conference about it, yet he himself has not said a word. He needs to just come out and say what it is that he wants to do. I'll actuslly respect him for that even if it is him announcing that he wants to leave. At least he will show some balls rather than hide in a hole like this. Also, Marca (i know crap source that's pro Real) says that he has verbally agreed to join Real. Not hard to believe if I'm honest..

James for 40mil would be a great deal imo. But i seriously doubt that he'll leave for that much.

Lucas Moura is again rumored to leave (not linked to us) and I hope we take notice of this. As I've said before, imo, one of the biggest needs of this squad is pace and directness, and Lucas will bring plenty of that.
Di Marzio said increased chances of Donnarumma staying
Montella was seen entering Donnaruma`s family house. It is now obvious that they are trying to broker a deal. Now the question is where is Raiola, what is he doing??

I do not want this to be one of his games to have leverage over other clubs??!!!
What do you mean, broker a deal? You mean Milan with Dollarumma for him to stay? Or you mean raiola/family with another club?

It is just poor choice of words Big Grin

Yes ,I meant Milan with Donnaruma.
Seems like it's Raiola and Donnarumma's family that have been pushing him away from Milan, according to reports. That's why it was so important that Montella went to see them, and also Fassone's classy response to Raiola's bullshit. Apparently the family have now realised that Raiola is only in it for himself, which is really good news if true.

I agree that it would have been better if he had made a statement but it's not atypical for players to avoid commenting on contract negotiations during international tournaments. My gut is that he has always wanted to stay and told Raiola as such. Raiola just went and bit off more than he could chew during these negotiations. Now, Donnarumma has to suffer the consequences (which is unfair IMO but c'est la vie).

Well, I think most Milan fans will forgive him in the end if he stays though. The kid is just 18, after all, and has probably been led astray by the most ruthless agent in the game. I agree about Raiola having bitten off more than he could chew. If Donnarumma actually never said that he wanted to leave (which is what he keeps telling people, according to the papers), then Raiola has messed up big time and will sooner or later be exposed as the greedy pig that he is.

I will be so happy if we are the club that ruins his reputation.

Maybe you are right. But if this is the case, than shouldn't Raiola just get fired by Gigio on the spot? Personally, If it was me, and I tell my agent that i want to stay at Milan, while he instead goes and tells them that I will not sign the extention, I will fire him within the hour.

Sure, maybe Raiola was doing his thing in getting him bigger wages, but that part was all set and done. I don't think he was digging for higher wages any longer. Those were on the table for a while at that point and Milan was just waiting for an answer.

I think the answer to the truth will be in what happens with Raiola. If he stays as Donna's agent, than surely he didn't do anything wrong and was just following Gigio's plans. If not, surely, he will get fired, no?...because it would mean that he was not doing what the client asked him to do.
