I seriously doubt he would have any issues with that. His intention is to milk money as much as possible. He knows wherever he eventualy go he wont be able to retain his curent earnings and it seems that he put money in front of his football career. I just can't see him leaving otherwise than being released on free with some compensation.

You are probably right....but it will definitely put some pressure on him. It's not an easy environment to be in when you are openly not wanted. I believe the Turkish team that wanted him offered him the same salary as Milan....but in order to go back to Turkey he wanted more money (something like 5mil), if reports are to be believed.

Either way, it will at least let Locatelli know that he is ahead of Sosa in the order.

Big Grin

I do not hate him for this  Sagrin

His own intention or not!
I think the one thing that needs doing is Montella needs to make clear to Locatelli what his role is this season. If Sosa and Montolivo are deemed ahead in the pecking order, then questions need raising about Montella.

I've said a long time ago that management must drive the direction of the club and sometimes that's finding an agreement with the coach on the players to build around. Locatelli is seen as the future of the team, so a coach must understand that the player must be given space within the squad to let him play.

That's the big issue I had with Montella last season. He stopped giving Locatelli the confidence and space to play his part, instead trusting Sosa who gave no more guarantees.

That decision may have made sense to Montella (I thought it was ludicrous), but it wasn't at all in line with the long term interests of the club, nor did it noticeably increase the short term gain for the club. That leaves open questions about Montella.

100% I don't see he logic of playing Sosa and Monto instead of Loca...
that being said, if we can't guarantee game time then a year playing week in week out elsewhere would do him the world of good.

Good old Facebook. I just got told that I'm dumb. Loca is not a regista... I should stop commenting about football because i don't know anything about it... this from a Bangladeshi who looks like he shouldn't be allowed near primary schools...

Eyes on Montella now.

But after thinking about the best coaches I have witnessed here, I don't think there is any that willing to give chances to a youngster at Locatelli's age when the team were competing for Scudetto.

Sacchi, Capello, Ancelotti or even Zac (thanks for 1998/1999) did not like to develop young players, especially at such important position.

And we lost world class players like David and Viera.

Pirlo was 23 when Carlo experimented him. And he was a real star at U21 when Loca is not even a starter.

So I think Locatelli is just not good enough, and the player himself needs to be realistic, even Juve deal shows that he is not ready.

If we send him on loan, it is better at a Serie B team to make sure he will get a lot of playing time.

Scoring against Buffon is a great moment, but I remember another great moment: 18 second goal of Paloschi.
Sosa is the only reason why i'm not sure about montella's target.
Sure, he'd choose someone who has worked with him before, but that's when he's on a mid-table team.

But look on the bright picture here,
It's better to have a footballer (sosa) than a farmer (bakaye) on a football field  Devilol Devilol
guys iv been thinking about what fassone said about other Attackers who the media didn't mention and these came to mind

lewandowski
Harry Kane
Jamie Vardy

i know some of the names are unrealistic but hell after the bonucci job who says we cant ?!
