So if Cairo wants to sell, he has to listen to Milan and soften his grip on Belotti. Otherwise he will keep the player for another year.....which of course can turn out great, but also bad. It's a risk.

Exactly. If Belotti really wants to join us this summer, then it will happen. They're not going to keep an unhappy player at the club for another year and risk him becoming unmotivated and performing badly, which would lead to a price drop and a potential loss in the tens of millions when they do eventually decide to sell. After the season Belotti's had they can cash in this summer, even if obviously they won't get the 100 million they want. 60 million plus Niang and Paletta is an excellent deal for them.

As much as you want him to be unmotivated enough to perform badly for them, I need to reiterate that it won't happen.
It's a World Cup year, and regardless of which team he plays for Belotti is not going to mess around with his chances of not making the World Cup squad just because his dream transfer didn't materialize. He's a professional ffs, he's not going to risk not getting to join the Italian NT on the biggest stage.

Your dream scenario just ain't gonna happen.

Whilst I agree that 60M plus Niang (18M) and Paletta (~5M) is an excellent deal for them, Cairo is a delusional arsehole who wants to squeeze us for every penny. Imho, even that deal is probably too much to pay for Belotti.
Even our Management knows this, which is why they're starting their valuation at 40M plus Niang and Paletta.
It is an excellent deal and we should not give a cent more. If he doesnt want, move to another target or keep Bacca. Use the money to add depth in midfield.
I know we can say 'who cares' or 'he must because' but I have a strong feeling Niang is not going to Torino, he won't agree to that move.
Hey guys New to this forum. Very happy with our new signings except Borini and Donnarumma. I would Absolutely love Schick and martial for our front line and Goretzka for our mid Rather than spending big on Belotti.

Ps It's just not that I hate Belotti. I feel that he is limited technically.I know many fans want him badly since he's a milanista and Italian. But would rather prefer Aubameyang or Morata. (Know he's gone).

Of course he's a professional, but I'm not sure if I agree about the World Cup. He would have a much better chance of making the squad playing for us, at least if he wants to be a starter. And if Torino won't let him go, then we will buy someone else, and there goes his chance of playing for his favourite team. Yes he's a professional, but don't tell me that wouldn't piss him off. It's not like he grew up at Torino and owes them everything. At the end of the day there also aren't many clubs that will force a player to stay against his will, so it all depends on how badly Belotti wants to play for us.

Mate, I agree that he would have a higher profile, hence a higher chance of making the WC squad if he played for an up and coming team like ours will be. But you miss the point. Even if Torino won't let him go, even if he is pissed about it, he won't just give up his chances of playing in the World Cup by going on strike and refusing to play when Mijhalovic calls him up to play.

You forget the story about De Gea trying to force a move to Madrid in 2015? What did United do? They threw him down to the reserves for a month until he relented and signed an extension with them to 2019. Why did he sign? Because he didn't want to miss the Euros due to lack of playing time/performances.

Cairo owns Belotti until 2020, he can do whatever he wants to him before that. I distinctly recall certain sections of our own fanbase saying to bench Dolla this year and force him to miss out on the WC. This is the exact same scenario we're talking about.
Well apparently Niang wants to stay in Italy so Torino is his number 1 choice.
Paletta I'm sure wouldn't mind either.

It works well in us getting rid of two players, but then that puts Belotti at like 80m if we're putting 60m on top.
No way we should pay more than 40m+Niang&Paletta. They get an experienced defender, and a player who I'm sure with all the playing time in the world at a team like Torino will be worth 20-25m one day in a couple years anyways. So they're getting 60-70m worth in that deal.
Belotti is like a share of common stock for Cairo right now. The value has gone really high, and now comes the time to make a decision whether to keep or sell. Keep it, and the value might even go up (to the imaginary 100mil that he has in his head). BUT, as we all know it can also go crashing down very quickly.

Is Cairo going to be a gambler? Or is he going to cash out?

Doesn't he has a contract till 2021?
