Mirabelli speaks:

As the report says, it looks like Auba, Costa or Kalinic are the most realistic options (Belotti seems gone). Interesting he outright named Aubameyang following Zorc's comments in China about being disrespectful Big Grin

His comments on Donnarumma are interesting too. It's not the first time he's commented on their pride of getting that renewal, I think the management see it as their biggest success this mercato.

23 goals in 36 matches (Belotti 26/35) is surely better than Kalinic. His second best is 22/33 in 2013/2014. He lost 1 season in Dormund and another with 2 loans.

Lazio bought him last season for only about 9M, so 25-30M is the right price. Let's do it, Fiorentina can keep Kalinic Big Grin

Lotito.Price will be €50+
Last report about Ibrahimovic ...

Raiola would have asked the following the contract :
- 1M salary for January-June
- 1M gross for each game played before January

I'd say let's make it but let's buy this other striker anyway ?
We prepare Ibra to play for the end of December, not before, and this way, he will cost us only 2-3M for the season.

Given his pedigree and his work ethic, I am actually okay with this option. I think that Andre Silva may well learn something from someone like Ibra.

Only if another WC striker comes in before this mercato ends though...

I don't know if it's true but just read that Mirabelli had publicly named out striker targets- Aubameyang,Kalinic and Costa.

As I said today we aren't done with Costa and we have a good chance to land him due to Atletico's ban and he wouldn't accept the bench as it's the world cup year. Also I have been reading reports that Atletico may end their interest on Costa as they think Chelsea's valuation on Costa is high
Official news say that Fiorentina have signed Marco Benassi from Torino on a 5-year contract for an undisclosed fee.

We were linked with him before, but I have no idea how real the interest was. Anyway, no big loss.

yes no loss considering locatelli has much more potential and we're after bigger and better things like sanches. still shocked torino sold him so cheap (10m). after all, he's a NT player who scored 5 goals/3 assists last season. if only cairo was as lenient with belotti haha.
I'm not surprised by the price. Nobody would pay more than that for him. He is an average player, and has now gone to an average club. I am glad we are staying away from players like him.
tbh, I think the most Torino could realistically for Benassi is around 15m, so while Fiorentina arguably got a decent deal, I don't think Torino got paid significantly less than they potentially could have.

With Belotti, I think the key difference is they know that the money they can make off of him is almost a game changer for them. Cairo is taking a massive risk on him, but he's probably taking the gamble fully aware of what could happen. It's unlikely Belotti will suddenly go from 26 goals in a season to anything less than 15 a year later under the same coach and with mostly the same players. Belotti will certainly play his all, it's in his nature and it's a world cup year with openings of him being first choice CF in the world cup. In the worst case scenario, Belotti will still be sold for a huge sum, we're not talking about his price dropping to 20m in the space of a year while he's still 23/24. In the best case scenario, he repeats his performances from that past year and he does well in the world cup. If this happens, that 100m is no longer such an absurd demand and clubs will be prepared to pay it.

Cairo is probably aware that interest will still be there in a year's time too, especially if he performs.

The idea I get from not getting Belotti and us talking about ibra, costa and aubameyang is that we're trying to make ourselves count on the transfermarkt and the league by getting another final marquee signing. It's not as much of well-thought through decision as it is a cock flashing party to see who has the biggest.

The longer I think about Auba's high fee, the less attractive it seems. The longer I think about ibra and costa, the less attractive it seems too. I'd rather that, if we spend so much on auba anyway, we might as well fork out 80m+20m in players for belotti.
