Milan CEO Marco Fassone is “very happy” with Nikola Kalinic, and “at the moment no new signings are planned”.
Niang: Spartak Moska vave presented a new offer of 22/23 million between fixed and bonus. Conditions that Milan can not refuse and even pushes with Niang, trying to convince him to accept the destination. In the balance sheet, the sale of number 94 would mean a super capital gain, given the residual amortization of € 1.04 million.
During these hours, new contacts between Spartak and Niang's agents will be announced, and an improvement of the first engagement proposal has also been proposed, which would now break through the wall of 3 million per season. Milan pushes, wants a definitive response, having reached the total agreement with the counterpart and the success rates are rising steadily compared to last Thursday.

These 3 million more are for Raiola and the player who had been promised by Galliani.

I guess only if we sell Niang and Sosa will we get a new winger and midfielder, respectively.  Confused
Won't deny Kalinic is the transfer that leaves me least excited this summer, even more than Borini. That said, I hope he comes good. This one's on Montella's head as he's pushed to get him.

Don't really take much on Fassone's words, it basically translates to we need to sell before we buy.
(08-21-2017, 06:23 AM)Hitman Wrote: [ -> ]Posted this about him in the match thread as I wanted to say something similar:

Few 18 year olds can have better Serie A debuts than he did. Penalty won, great movement in the goal he scored and assisted. His best quality at the moment seems to be his positioning. His performance was Belotti-esque yesterday. Remains to be seen how well he can consistently hold the ball up, make passes without losing the ball. The kid will make mistakes, plenty of them. I really hope he goes out on loan. We cannot afford to play him and watch him mature, we aren't the Milan of the past anymore. We spent 230 million not to gamble on 18 year olds and Cutrone is a gamble not a certainty. I'd say a Serie A loan to Crotone would do him good and we can go for our star striker instead.

Keeping Cutrone at Milan would be bad for all parties involved. Milan will suffer as times will come where we'll need to use our third striker and the pressure will be on Cutrone. Pressure like that at a club like Milan for an 18 year old can really break you - ask Pato and Gilardino. After failing at Milan those players were never really the same again. Cutrone is someone who at the moment seems to only possess good positioning with a good finish. He needs to work on his technique, body balance/physicality and passes. He can only improve vastly on that by playing regularly and we can't offer him that. Cutrone's growth will slow down and Milan won't have that 20 goals/season striker that we sorely need ahead of Cutrone.

We have Silva + Kalinic now. We just need that icing on the cake. A world-class LW or CF with another v.good mezzala. Cutrone can go to Crotone and aim to get 10 goals this season and if he does that, we can bring him back next year and reassess. Plus Cutrone-Crotone just sounds good together just like Arsenal-Arsene. I feel we owe to destiny to make it happen Big Grin

I'm not quite sure why you would want to get rid of Cutrone? We are currently playing with one striker but there will be occasions where we want to use two strikers. We have three competitions (Serie A, Coppa Italia, Europa League) which will allow for plenty of rotation among Kalinic, Silva, and Cutrone. We should reward the guy for a good preseason and a goal on opening day and allow him to fight for his place this year. Just because we have money doesn't mean we shouldn't try and integrate our youth players where possible. If it doesn't work out then he can go out on loan next year (not to a team fighting relegation but hopefully a midtable team like Atalanta or Torino). Of course, all that changes if we get someone like Aubameyang - in that case I'd definitely try to send him out on loan.
Have to keep Cutrone here and let him fight. These days the best players can have the correct mindset at young age. I think playing well and still getting shipped off would be a knock on his confidence. Let him ride the wave. Look at Rooney start in life when he was 16 and he didn't get sent away on loan.

I forgot to mention that me wanting him to leave was based on the assumption that we will sign a WC striker like Auba for instance or maybe a surprise signing. If we don't get someone better than both Silva and Kalinic, then yes I surely would keep Cutrone. We need 3 centre forwards.

I'm just saying it would be better for Milan & Cutrone himself for him to go out on loan and grow while we get our WC 'bomber'. Montella did say that Kalinic wasnt a 'bomber' kind of player so I know they've got their minds on someone additional to Kalinic. Maybe the main reason we'd be dropping our interest in a star striker is because Andre Silva is showing some good signs as well and is going to demand a lot of minutes?

I still think we're going to go for an expensive WC player, I'm almost certain. But will it be a striker, a winger or a midfielder? We badly need a winger. Suso is the only legitimate winger out we got in the squad. Borini, Hakan and Bona can be makeshift wingers but we certainly need someone fast to mirror Suso on the other side. Keita would be my choice unless there's something else that's being cooked and will be served in the last few days of the market (Alexis pls).
Niang still has to decide whether to go to Russia for 20\23M Sky
Paletta agreement with lazio Sky price is still unknown
Fenerbahce, who arrived in Milan, wants both Gustavo Gomes and Uallarito Sosa talk about 10 for Gomez and 8 for Sosa Sky

My problem with a loan in Crotone for example is exactly the reason why you think we should send him on loan actually (that's funny, one reason gives two opposed opinions) : there is not much pressure there, and he would play in a side without too much talent and who's going to battle to keep its place in Serie A. I feel that won't help him to grow to be Milan material. With us, he will improve of course, will have high confidence because we keep him and he will feel like a wanted player, someone the coach trusts, and then, given he seems to have the same winning mentality as Lapadula but with a much better future ahead and more talent, alongside better players, he should get enough time on the pitch to grow.

I don't think we're going to get the so called big striker, so the guy should get playing time in the Italian Cup, small games of Serie A and when we need to send 2 strikers on the pitch. And who knows about Europa League, depending on who will be our opponents (probably no need to put the best team in each game in the group stage).

To me that just looks like a... "come on, just come off already bloke" sort of look. Those two have great potential and, as Geo has said, will grow nicely in the right environment. Cutrone will definitely benefit from staying at AC Milan and to add to that, benefit from Montella as coach(Montella was a great striker)
