Just some food for thought...

I've been seeing lots of probable line-ups for next season, and honestly 80% of them if not more only include 4 Italians in the starting XI..

Now, even though I do understand that you can't have 11 Italians and you're probably not going to achieve much.. I got to say that this is pretty much worrying.

I hate to see Milan and Inter switch sides... it just simply hurts!!
Quote:Milan's first offer for Conti is €15m+bonuses but it is deemed low by Atalanta. Next week will be decisive [@AlfredoPedulla].

We need to go ahead and bag this one.  Give them 20m and be done with it

Not 100% to your point but I think line ups without both Abate and Montolivo are more wishful thinking than not. Despite rumours flying fast these days I doubt the change is going to be that big that fast.
Quote:GdS, and probably all other Italian newspapers, report that Milan threatened Donnarumma: Either he extends or stays on sidelines for a year.

Quote:Regarding the midfield, Milan will go forward for Tolisso. The Lyon midfielder is a very appealing profile to Mirabelli [GdS].

Quote:Milan's new striker is between Morata and Aubameyang. For Morata, Milan must wait for after the CL final, Milan have a €7.5m agreement with Morata. Real Madrid would like to have an auction for the player. For Aubameyang, intermediary Petralito told Milan that Auba said no to Chinese offers and PSG's interest is not concrete [GdS].

Quote:Milan will not make an attempt with Barcelona or Everton to keep Deulofeu, according to Gazzetta dello Sport.

Quote:Milan have reiterated their confidence in Locatelli. He will go nowhere in summer since the team is playing 3 competitions next season [GdS]

Quote:Milan set Donnarumma ultimatum

Multiple Italian sources claim Milan threatened to send Gianluigi Donnarumma to the stands if he doesn’t sign a new contract, alerting Manchester City.

The 18-year-old goalkeeping sensation is considered the heir to Gigi Buffon in the Italy squad.

As he only turned 18 in February, there were limits on the length of contract he could sign while still a minor, so his current deal runs to June 2018.

Negotiations with agent Mino Raiola over the first adult contract have been increasingly tense and Milan have offered €3m-€3.5m per year wages. He currently earns €250,000.

According to the Corriere dello Sport and Tuttosport’s Saturday editions, as well as the Corriere della Sera, the Rossoneri are ready to play hard-ball and threatened to drop Donnarumma for the entirety of next season unless he signs a new deal by June 30.

Naturally, this has Manchester City on high alert, as they sense the difficulties and are prepared to swoop in with a huge offer worth €70m.

Donnarumma came up through the Milan youth academy, so any sale would generate a massive profit, but the new Chinese club owners want to keep the fan favourite.

There had also been reports recently that Manchester United were in for Donnarumma, if they sold David De Gea to Real Madrid.

Agent Raiola also represents Paul Pogba and Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

€3m per year is a huge sum for a kid signing his first contract as an adult no matter how talented he is. If that's not enough for him then either something is wrong in his head or he's being influenced by the wrong people so I'm all for sending him to the stands. Or if the reported €70m from City is true, then just sell him.

That said, I think that he'll eventually sign a new contract.
Troy I like all the rumours you posted, even not redeeming Deulofeu. I was one of the first to start wondering whether he should be retained, but having watched him over the course of the half season, I'm against really keeping him, as I don't think he'd be prepared to come off the bench, and while he's been useful, he's inconsistent and lacking end product.

I really like Tolisso (I've mentioned him a few times in the past), but I don't get quite where he'd fit in Milan. Getting, Kessie and him seems to be getting two players for one role.

About Donnarumma, the whole situation is somewhat baffling. If rumours are true and he's offered what's reported, then there's no reason not to sign. I think Montella's, and to an extent Rino's, comments on him needing to make a decision weigh heavily. Him, and his family, have to make a decision and they need to make it quickly, because if he draws it out and rumours are flying everywhere about the amount he'll earn, he will quickly lose the support he has from fans and jeopardize his chances of becoming a bandiera at Milan as he's previously stated. As for Raiola, I respect he's good at his job, but he's all about money and if Donnarumma has ambitions to lead Milan for the long term, he's picked the wrong agent.
I hope Donnarumma himself (or togehter with his family) will just tell Raiola to cut the crap and tell him "I'm staying at Milan. Period." He can play at top level for another 20 years, money will be absolutely no issue for him or his family for generations. As a Milan-fan now is the time to stand up.
I am not surprised at the Donnarumma situation. You have Raiola breathing into his ear 24/7. What do you expect? Let's not forget that he is a teen still. But for him to leave at this stage would be very very foolish. He is well settled, getting first team time and has the lover and support of everyone. He probably won't have all that in Manchester or wherever.
Agents aside, Donarunma himself has to decide, stay and earn 3M now OR find other clubs that offer beyond that.

Hopefully we hear Kessie and Conti's confirmed signings after their last game today
Raiola just basically confirmed that they are exploring other options with Gigio. I am really disappointed with Donnarumma. Is he even a Milan fan? Or do people these days just say that stuff for the hell of it. If you are a Milan fan as you say you are and this is the club of your dreams, and this club developed you and gave you the opportunity to be who you are at 17 years old, and is now offering you 3.5mil plus bonuses as an 18 year old, PLUS it's clearly spending a shit ton of money on reinforcements to be competitive.......WHAT IS THERE TO THINK ABOUT? Even if you have doubts about how good the team will be, you have a 20 year career in front of you and plenty of time to change things if things don't work out at Milan. But you have to give Milan a chance as they are clearly doing everything they can to make you happy.

People can be so disappointing sometimes. They lose perspective of the important things in life. It's sad actually. Even if Gigio signs, I am still very disappointed as to the way he has let this develop and I am already looking at him in a different way. He is no longer the un-salable gem for me. He clearly will leave the club at some point in the future. If he is doing this as an 18 year old when given incredible amounts of money and being basically made the face of Milan, than when he is in his 20s it will be even worse. So hopefully we sign him on a new contract, but also always look out for the best interest of the club in the future....meaning if a crazy offer arrives for him, just sell him before we get screwed.
