Gattuso out! And everybody who vouched for him!

7.Bertolacci
8.Donnarumma brothers
9.Laxalt
10. R.Rodriguez

I think Mauri should stay. He's a decent squad player.

Something I noticed in last night's game, empolis Traore and no 10 ( have look up his name) looks like they have potential to become good players. Let's face it, we won't be buying the next Hazard this summer. Might as well look for players like them

Since they are going to be relegated we should get a good price

I think so too, but ultimately feel like the cubs made their decision. Like I said the other week, who knows how good he might have become had he properly been given a go. He might not have been a world beater, but he's got a tenacity that reminds me of Gattuso, even if he doesn't have his ability. Attitude is the one thing you can't teach. I Honestly thought Gattuso becoming head coach was going to be the best thing to ever happen to Mauri... Instead, turned out to be the worst.
Another year comes and goes, no CL again.
It's pretty pathetic tbh, and what makes it even harder is FFP. I hope that our management can come up with some type of resolve so that we can significantly improve this mediocre squad. I would want nothing less than a complete overhaul. 90% of our squad doesn't deserve to wear the shirt.

With Gattuso, we knew we were hiring an amateur coach - specifically referencing his complete lack of coaching experience at this level. It's more managements fault, what's he going to do resign and give away his pay chq? At the end of the day, I blame the fact that we didn't hire a more experienced coach, than blaming Gattuso himself. 1) I respect him as a player and a human being, and 2) he did his best. If anyone like Inzaghi (Pippo's brother) or SPAL's coach or any of these no name donkeys become our coach next season I won't even bother watching. He put his heart and soul into the job and that's all we can ask for from someone with his level of experience.

Hopefully we've learnt our lesson and will never give the coaching job as a hand out to former players. Not only do we have pathetic seasons, but it's bitter and very saddening to see players like Gattuso, Seedorf, Pippo walk away from the club on such a bitter note with the fans after having such great careers as players.

The only two players in this entire squad that I hope to keep are Romagnoli & Calabria. Everyone else can leave tbh, including Donnarumma. I don't say that because I'm unhappy with his performance, but rather I already know the pressure Raiola is going to put on us in order to make him stay another year without CL. Shouldn't be the case, but I expect it to be.

THIS! So much this!
The bloke did his best. Was it good enough... No... But then again, he did get us to 5th spot with Borini, kessie, Zapata, Hakan as regulars in the team.

I would add Paqueta and Piatek to that list...

the rest can go. Although some have their uses... eg. Zapata , Conti, Castillejo, Cutrone as backups.
It's weird that from mihajlovic, montella, gattuso, and mauri rarely got game time. What's wrong with him/the coaches?

Same with Porcho. At first i thought that Gattuso would show true grinta, slapping lazy ass players left and right. Calling them out in a press conference and call them malakia in almost every chance. And under Gattuso, mauri got more chances, hakan would play with more grinta (which is quite working), kessie would be a true panzer tank instead of running to penalty box and got easily dropped down (i mean, look at his physique, all the time he's trying to get penalty, surely not many referee would believe that), and many more.

I really believe Gattuso system would work, if he has players that has pussy mentalities. Busquets, Dybala, and many more. It's really ironic

Gattuso is a good example of the old... Not everyone can teach. Despite being that sort of personality, he was not able to transfer some of that to the players that need it most.

How could I forget Paqueta  Okmilan

It's true though, I always looked at it that way. Anytime Gattuso didn't get us the result we needed, I looked at management more than anything. Not only did they hire a coach with 0 experience, but how could he turn it down? Gattuso is one man on this earth above anyone else that bleeds these colors. Above and beyond his lack of experience, they gave him a painfully average side to work with & Bonaventuras injury certainly didn't help a team that has clueless midfielders.

Of course, I also do agree that we should keep some players like Conti/Castillejo for rotation/backups, but I don't care to see them leave either if similar priced options come in that they feel better suit our future plans.

I cannot stress this enough, but midfield must be the top priority. Bakayoko will probably head back to Chelsea, Kessie is a hard worker and I wouldn't mind keeping him as a sub - but 30mln euros or more that we can get for him is tempting. News of Sensi being all but done for Locatelli+10-12m is not bad. He's a player that can serve well in rotation, but by no means do I believe he's capable of walking into this squad as a starter next season. Not saying he can't prove to be a starter, but I wouldn't rely on it to avoid being so thin as we were this season. We bought Biglia hoping to have someone who could pull the strings, he's been a shadow of his former self or injured otherwise.

We literally have 0 starting midfielders when you consider the fact that Biglia, Hakan, Bakayoko and Kessie have either proven to be not worthy, are on their way out or both lol. Other than Bonaventura and Paqueta, who imo are both attackers converted into midfielders due to our lack of options. Remains to be seen how/where a new coach would slot them in.

It's very important that with whatever resources we are allowed to allocate to our transfer market, we do it intelligently for once. I wish FFP would disappear for a season to let Elliott splash the cash
This is what happens when your club is mismanaged to the tee

100% I was just thinking along the lines of keeping them for continuity... that being said... someone like Samu could possibly fetch 25m from a side side with little options because they're not a "big club" and we could likely reinvest in someone younger and cheaper already playing Serie A.

Sensi is a good start for midfield... Add someone like a Tonali and we're doing well.. But we're desperately missing a top starter.
But buying 3 mids as a minimum is a must! and one of them MUST be a top one.

I'd be happy with a Bonaventura, Paqueta, Kessie, Sensi, Tonali, Biglia, TOP MID as our options... Hopefully by season's end. Tonali is ready to play more regularly so Biglia goes off for free(best choice - No one would be interested in buying him... hopefully he can pass on some experience to Tonali)

I would still very much like to see hector Hererra and Brahimi from Porto(Both Free).
I would also consider adding Subotic for Depth
