Diaz is a poacher like Piatek i guess? Don't know if it's beneficial. If we're going to play 2 poachers, shouldn't just sell Cutrone. Or try to get Icardi instead, much more proven than foreign talent
Buying Diaz is in line with the old Milan way of just buying strikers, he is not bad but why spend money on him?
I wonder what realistic positions everyone thinks we still need for the start of the season still? Not a complete overhaul but realistic stuff. For me we need a CAM to compete with Suso and to speed up our game. I would also prefer to get rid of Conti and get another RB to compete with Calabria. Otherwise we added depth to the team and I'm actually okay with an Andre Silva stay. He has looked better than Castollejo during the preseason. Oh and offloading a few players would be helpful too.
Diaz > Castellijo and Silva (and Cutrone if he remained) as SS.
We need someone who can dribble pass defenders or hold the ball then score or assist or just keep the ball relaying.
Castellijo is dilligent but this is his only strength.
Silva is like a Kessie playing forward with less enthusiasism.
Maybe not really needed but surely an improvement if we can both buy Diaz and offload one of Samu and Silva.
Diaz & Leao combo seem interesting, IMO.
Realistically, 2nd Striker position is the one that definitely need upgrade most. I'm positive Leao could do the job eventually, but for short-term, i believe an established player is needed.
Next, Trequartista role. I personally don't believe Suso could do well in Trequartista role. Sure he can stand in the center, but he lack the ability to "manipulate" space like Totti, he lack the physical attribute like Kaka pace and naturally tall physique, he can't control the tempo like Zidane, and he's too one footed. I know, i compared him to legends. But even compared with the likes of Mata, Ozil, even Luis alberto, they all above Suso. And i'm not even comparing him to De bruyne or Erikssen.
I sure hope January window, when that beckham rule applied, we can finally attract a more talented Trequartista.
Signing Diaz or Correa is not a bad idea, I thought we didn't need another striker but the fact is if Piatek keeps playing how he has end of last season & in preseason he's going to be a painfully average player for us. Better to have alternatives in case.
Tottenham are desperated by offering 50M pounds for Erikssen.
They don't want to lose him for nothing next year.
The player is silent, but he knows he's got the edge. His club must improve his wage a lot to retain him, bigger clubs who will get him next year will also give him much bigger wage because they get him for free.
This seems a chance for Milan, but in reality, not.
If Milan wants a good midfielder under 20M, then Eduardo Camavinga, of Stade Rennes could be a great player. He is next Verratti. Only problem is that he is just 16 years old.

As I see it, we don't have time to wait for 16 year olds. We need players who can contribute now, not in 5 years.
Tuttosport
Torino want to sign Hakan Chalhanoglu. Communication between the two clubs has started since yesterday
