Big Grin I comment on rumours assuming they are true.
I say the no options is odd cause I don't like loan in general to begin with and no options makes it even worse imo.

Speaking of departures Monto, Berto, Mauri and Abate still have no teams? It's easy to say that they suck or want big salaries but really how weird is that

It would be god awful if there were no options

I think Abate was the only player actually linked to a team
I'd be interested in seeing the FFP numbers after this market. Like, what is the change in our wage bill and net transfer in/out. I think we probably have saved a considerable amount of money on the wage bill with people in/out.
Yea. I also wonder if that report that we had 20-25mil to spear are correct. I doubt anyone would have that type of information, so it's likely a bullshit story...but it's interesting nontheless. Means we can easily address needs in January.

Here you go! (Found on Reddit)

So, looking at wages and fees combined, we've spent €74M less than in the 2018-2019 season, though it remains to be seen if we'll sign anyone in January. Regardless this is some impressive work by our management, especially considering the quality of the transfer campaign we've had. I can barely remember the last time we had this much squad depth. Boban, Maldini and Gazidis are doing incredibly well – these numbers are very reassuring.

It also shows what a difference CL qualification would make. If we made it to the CL and made it past the group stage, we'd be looking at some €40M in income. That's about 80% of what we pay the players. From what I understand stats like these don't show the full story of the wage bill, as the club also pays the players' taxes, which are at about 50%, so in reality the wage bill should be doubled compared to the numbers we see here. Still, a good run in the CL would change things a lot for us.

I think New laws passed in Italy(Beckham law kind) will decrease the taxes. That is going to come in action in January. So Clubs can pay higher wages to attract players and compete La liga clubs. (I don't know much about details as I am not a student of Commerce)

Taison could have been a good signing but ofcourse not for 30M.

I haven't even seen Silva dribble or take on opponents or even score a great goal other than tap in and easy goals. Silva is what I would defined as very very technically limited player.

Transfermarkt rate Rebic at 40m
https://www.transfermarkt.com/ante-rebic...ler/187587

Andre Silva rated at 22m
https://www.transfermarkt.com/andre-silv...ler/198008

It seem like a very good deal for us to trade a 22m player for a 40m player.

Correa is rated at 35m which is what he is worth IMO

Trasfermarkt is woeful when it comes to actual player values. Might as well check out FIFA 19.

As for the player comparison. Different players. Simply put, we need someone who can come in and perform now(Rebic). Meanwhile Silva can hopefully regain the form that got him noticed in the first place.
As for the "haven't even seen Silva dribble or take on opponents or even score a great goal other than tap in and easy goals."
He scored a couple of impressive goals for Milan and had some good moments. But nothing even approaching his form at Porto.

Yep. The tendon issue exists but he can still play. It's just something that needs to be managed.
Obviously Monaco didn't want to take the risk as there are risks that it could get worse.

Clearly he's a highly regarded youngster and some of the biggest clubs in Europe were interested in him in the last 6 months. I think the relationship between Elliot and Lille contributed to the transfer as well. I can't help but think the money could have been used a different way...but at the same time, from reading what people say about him and watching some videos....he is one of those players that can easily be worth 50/60/70+ mil in just a year or two. It'll be interesting to see how he develops.

I don't think it was a weird signing. But he's definitely a talent. And he's versatile in that he can play both ST and SS as well as out wide if needed.

New law hasn't passed yet. But they're working on it. 30% tax for foreign players or Italians that have been out of the country for over 10 years(i think it was 10).
However, if this comes into play, it will only count for new signings. Not existing ones.
