This. While I do think that he may not be a good fit for the Serie A, the way he was treated made it impossible for him to excel.

Ah come on Kalinic scored 2 goals in his first start for for Milan in Serie in Sept.Took Silva 7 months to score.Kalinic was a sgit signing though we all knew that.Thats highnsight on Silva, he was trash at Milan and thats okay.Not all clubs or leagues suit a player.He was slow and awkward on the ball and the defences in Italy ate him up.Its not like he was being kept on the bench and repeatedly loaned because he was too good.
Glad he's doing well now , but the defences in Germany are not like in Italy.You can see by his record in Europe and for Portugal since he left Milan 3 years ago arent good.Hes only scored regularly in the Bundesliga.

He started 7 games and scored 2 goals.
He went to La liga and scored 9 goals in almost 2400mins, starting 28 games.
He didn't prove himself worth the price tag in 2 leagues. Bundesliga is the only league he can play in. Not worth taking a chance on such a player.

Remind me of another target of us, Jovic which haven't done much outside of Bundesliga. And his good buddy Haller which didn't set BPL on fire after arriving for 50m. Out of Rebic, Jovic and Haller, only rebic has proven himself outside of Bundesliga, this is the kind of difference between bundesliga and the rest of the leagues.

I wouldn't pay 14M for Schick. OK, euros but he flopped at Leverkusen, Leipzig and Roma but then suddenly he is good enough for Milan ?
