As it turns out, only ONE team in UCL knockout phases history capable of overturning first-leg defeat away from home. It was Ajax, who after losing 0-1 at home, defeated Panathinaikos 3-0 in 95/96 semifinals. That speaks volume about the obstacle in front of us.

Crouch and/or van der Vaart might be out but watching their game last night it seemed that all their sprint runners (Defoe, Lennon, and Bale) are fit. Therefore, with Seedorf casually jogging anywhere on the field, there's no way we could repeat Ajax' achievement.
Boateng is likely to be out, but if he can be fit just in time, don't forget the possible Flamini-Gattuso-Boateng midfield with mainly Boateng having to go forward to help the attacking trio.

I had this feeling that Boateng was the man who would make Spurs crumble...and I`m really disappointed that he will be missing.

Geo,wasn`t gattuso suspended for the next couple of games.

We have played two great games against Napoli and Juve. Some might say that we weren`t particularly brilliant again`t Juve, but they did not have a clear cut chance all game long, neither did Napoli.

Thats what we need for this game...first and foremost we have to nullify their attack. And then during 90 minutes one of our attacker should convert one of the few chances we will have.

We have 3 world class forwards who can out of nowhere produce magic. This is it.

No need for fancy playing, we need to be tough and Ibra and Pato can do the rest.

Thats why Boateng was perfect for this tactic, he can be hard ass and produce some great play on the way too. All the others are limited either offensively or defensively

Where was my head when I posted that ?!
And I'm also one of the guys who said he was happy to see Gattuso out for this return leg as that will force Allegri to have a midfield who can play football ... Big Grin

So not many options available if Boateng can't make it for Wednesday ...
what's up with Strasser? can he play?

I don't know what's his situation, since his injury, we didn't see him one single minute ... Fit or not, would you take the risk to use him in such a big game ?
No Boateng great ...thats awful news and Pato doubtful is he ? if Seedorf plays we lose cos he just cant cut it anymore FACT!! Im not very confident now with Boateng and Pato fully fit we'd have a much better chance.
Allegri if u ever come to MM and read our posts my message for u is please NO SEEDORF
If we are really stuck in mid..could Silva play RB with Yepes in the Centre and Abate on the right of mid ?

Abbiatti
Yepes Silva Nesta
Abate Flamini Merkel Janku
Prince
Ibrahimovic Pato

ok, I don't see the difference at all between:
Abb
Yepes Silva Nesta
Abate Flam Merkel Janku
Prince
Ibra Pato

and
Abb
Abate Yepes Nesta Janku
Flam Silva Merkel
Prince
Ibra Pato
