Truth is, the team didn't create enough scoring chances. We had reasonable possession but that doesn't count for anything if you don't pressure the opposition. That's what happened today. The team tried but the effort wasn't enough. Plain and simple.
Who are we playing against next in Coppa Italia? it'll be nice to do the double: we did it with Ancelotti one year right (when we beat Roma at San Siro and then also won the coppa italia).
Palermo in April, can't remember the exact date though. The other semi final is Inter - Roma if I remember correctly. I think the final will be the derby, no way Roma can beat Inter.
I hope we win the Coppa too... it's been a while.
Wasnt the it the CL and Coppa in 03 ?? anyway as I said we are rebuilding and missing players , I have no doubt that with Cassano , V.Bommel , Emanuelson , Ambro , Pirlo at our call we would of won..also anyone else get the impression in a game that was scrappy in the final third that Pippo would of scored ?

Yeah. The chance Robinho wasted that led to Gallas' goal line clearance is a good example. The player in shegs' avatar would bury it with a snooker shot. On the other hand, Inzaghi would comically stumbled while trying to kick it, yet somehow the ball eventually went in Coffee
Wow!!! I'm very impressed by the very cool-headed and intelligent comments on the board from everyone ( GeoTav, Hitman, Nalx, Reza, AcMilan & others)....

Abate: Excellent, very soon he will be a World Class Right Back, I'm very Proud..

Overall, I think we actually played well (including Seedorf) so I will eat my words about him playing. Merkel looked good, our defense looked good, Boateng is a World Class Midfielder.

However, our Front 3, apparently the "best" strike force in Europe, well they were a huge FLOP! Milan needs an ACM (Ganso) who can send the final ball for our strikers. Secondly, Robinho and Ibra and Pato need to then FINISH!!!!

Robinho missing 2 EASY Goals this game blew it for us, plain and simple. I'm disappointed with Robinho and Ibrahimovic's big game Flopping time and time again. Ibra unfortunately all the labels are true. Where was he? And why he he untouchable in the lineup? I love him but if he is tired or in bad form, he MUST be benched like the rest.

Next year we'll have Cassano, van Bommel, Urby, and hopefully an ACM and LB to add to this current team. Then, we will have a better chance in this competition, but for now let's win the Scudetto and then buy 3 more players in Summer Mercato.

As for Seedorf, that was his last CL game in a Milan Jersey,,,as well as for Jankulovski and IMO probably Flamini who is not what we need. Like Hitman said, LET"S CASH IN
Guys, I'm against the sale of Flamini ... He's not the WC DM we wanted, he's not the new Gattuso, but he can be useful as a squad player (at least for the next season).

I mean, if we buy a new midfielder and keep a guy like Flamini, that will add options to our team, whereas if we sell him, that will mean we need to buy two midfielders ...

His performance tonight wasn't exceptionnal, far from that, but the fact he didn't make crazy tackles showed he can learn from his mistakes. And about the yellow card: he didn't deserve the yellow card he got but should have been yellow carded when he stupidly fouled Bale later in the game, so at the end, it's the same result, yellow carded !!

Anyway, if I understand, next year, we will start the competition with Gattuso, Flamini and Mexes Big Grin out ...
Elmago , the level headed-ness(thats not a word) is because we know we are rebuilding and will get better..In my time as a fan as I said to Shegs earlier I have seen my team WIN 5 EUROPEAN CUPS LOSE 3 FINALS...and be the most dominant team the last 2 decades...I see Spurs fans rubbing it into me (most are respectful and realistic) and all I say is ...YOUR BEST SEASON IN 50 YEARS they say yeah I SAY BEAT A BIG NAME REBUILDING AWAY FROM HOME GOOD...SCRAP TO DRAW AT HOME AGAINST SAID HUGE TEAM THAT ARE REBUILDING AND MISSING 3 FIRST TEAM STARTERS ( V.BOMMEL , CASSANO , PIRLO) all they can say is yeah and I think wow hate to be a spurs fan ( yes yes sour grapes i know ) but imagine if after beating Mdrid 5-0 in 89 we did nothing ...thats how they'll be....but I am proud of seedorf tonight and Nesta imense , Janku clap clap ...Boateng clearly injured but ran his socks off ..the Duck was everywhere...and Ale Merkel..that kid is special real special and will be the best in the world at some stage.

I'm not bashing Flamini, he's really not a bad player, and I too agree he had ALL BALL on that yellow card call.
However:
* Seedorf is most likely gone
* We should replace Flamini with Jucilei, we will not need to buy 2 new midfielders. I think the following group is good enough for next year challenging on 3 fronts:
10 Midfielders

Ganso, Jucilei, Pirlo, Boateng, Ambrosini, Van Bommel, Gattuso, Merkel, Strasser, Emmanuelson
