Well we may be in agreement on the number of transfers. I don't want Flamini anymore. I don't want Balotelli as does not seem to do good for the team on teh whole with his attitude. As for Robben, he will only come if we plan on making a systemic change to the team in regards to the formation.
As for Poli, he doesn't even start on Sampdoria, or didn't first half of season. Can anyone comment on his progress? Is he a star of Serie A? Or do people like him because he's Italian?
We need flamini,elmago99! gatusso, mvb, ambro are all approaching end of their career,we need a midfield stopper to bring energy on the team.same goes to poli,a project to back up our aged DM group, his versatility reminds me of cambiasso,a modern box to box player.
Robben will be the cherry of a cake to our system, his speed is a insurance policy for next year CL competition.

Poli was 1 of catlysts of Sampdoria team which finished 4th 2 years ago. He's slightly younger than Pato (basically same age) was only 20 at time. Played in a 2 man CM and was very good.
Keep in mind, in limited action this yeaR (and almost exclusively at anchor position) he still wins a lot of tackles... He's won 44 challenges in 1053 minutes this year, a rate of 1 ever 23.9 minutes. For reference the only Milan mid who is doing better is Gattuso, and it's more often than the likes of zanetti, cambiasso, melo etc.
He's a pretty good passer too...
Cesare Prandelli said in an interview, he'd like to see milan get montolivo and poili because he thinks those two + boateng can give milan perfect balance of a CM.
If you want my opinion on Poli, he has potential to be more like ambrosini or van bommel, an anchor player who can be trusted on the ball.
Why is he not playing now? Well if I use the most obvious but least satisfying answer it'd probably be true. Italian coaches have problem with youth, and it needs to change. He has the talent he proved it in 09/10 as the youngest regular in sampdoria and in serie A in general. There's a reason Mourinho and Ancelotti were interested in him, along w/ Braida/Galliani. He's got a lot of talent and a good work ethic.
If we got Poli and Montolivo, and sold Flamini, Id like our midfield next year... groom poli to succeed ambrosini/gattuso. Montolivo can play now both with and without pirlo, boateng will continue his improvement etc. I see him as a potential pirlo type signing, showed some great things on u21 level, had a good club year... then off a disappointing one he's sold.
i dont rate Montolivo much, handworking player but nothing special. Not someone who can increase quality of our midfield.
On the other hand, Poli is a nice lad, He can be a good alternative for our midfield as he can play next to Gattuso for a more balanced midfield...for left side of midfield, we need someone like Seedorf. However its not easy to find a player like him. Boateng is not that dynamic to play there...He can play there when needed but as a first choice for there, i dont think so!
Merkel is the closest thing to Seedorf in this world, He has many tools like Seedorf. i see him as a new Seedorf than new Pirlo cuz he is so different from Pirlo if you ask me...
Allegri should work on his defensive game and strength...He should be solid on 1 on 1's. with experience, he will do great job there...
i dont have much hope on Strasser...But Merkel is different...He can be a world class player in short term...
I think that the best player to replace MVB is Sandro!
I think we MUST go for him even for 25 mil!
its weird that none of us wanted MVB now unarguably everyone probably wishes he was a couple years younger and we resign him. hes a beast imo iff only he was in his mid 20's.. i agree with u acmilan best sandro would be a great replacement but the problem is we do need more then one midfielder which is why 25mill is way too much to spend on just one. Poli + lazzari or montolivo any of those two would come out to 25 mill..
we've been linked to nasri.. if you ask me what i think of this i'd say no, id definitely rather prefer ganso or marcelinho because 1. there brazilian and i love brazilian players and plus will be good with robinho pato and also both will probably surpass nasris talent although hes a great player, and lastly arsenal is a big club and not to mention bring in more revenue then us, they'll ask for alot of money and most likely wont care whether we buy him or not, he's not a bonera and its not a burden to have to keep him on ur team hes wc and will ahve a big price tag but if you ask me ganso or robben but switch up the formation, id say robben and switch up the formation.. robben is all around just AMAZING in every category, he could offer alot for us and give us a big boost against other big euro clubs.
i'm already getting worried and nervous that Seedorf/Ambro/Pirlo will renew, let alone the fact that Zambro/Oddo/Gattuso are all stuck with us for at least one more year.... we haven't even won the Scudetto yet and I'm already thinking about these Senatores renewing one more year.... let's hope the management are serious about their rebuilding and begin now

LMAO. Seriously. These one , two game games make them survive another year another year etc.
Hitman all must go. If anyone MAYBE can stay is gattuso for another year MAX.
I think they all must go. Gattuso's contract ends June'2012 so he is here for sure. However, I would probably say to let Ambrosini, Pirlo & Seedorf go. Seedorf is finished, and Pirlo is always injured. Ambrosini is good for the CDM position and I may consider keeping him 1 more year.
I also would sign Van Bommel to a 1 year contract if he accepts. He can still play another year or 2. Then, look for a new young CDM, then develop Boateng & Merkel as our 2 other midfielders with Ganso at the top of the diamond. I think that would be best.
