also, who is Maicon (Internazionale)? not the one at Roma right? which Internazionale?
It IS Roma's Maicon, the former Inter RB. So Scolari has called both Dani Alves and Maicon ... how original.
Btw. I have never seen a Brazilian attack with so little quality. Only Neymar is great, and he'll be still recovering from injury. Fred, Hulk, Jô, Willian, Bernard ... [sigh]! I mean, Bernard is pretty exciting to watch, but in a Giovinco kind of way.
I grew up worshipping the Brazilian NT, but much like Italy and their stylish defenders, it's just not the same anymore
Although Brazil's attack doesn't appear to have much individual quality, the characteristics of the players are chosen to complement Neymar. If Neymar stays fit then their attack is actually quite well balanced, with Neymar playing off Fred whose job is basically to setup Neymar whenever possible. However if Neymar does get injured..I would say that they're pretty much screwed lol

I am not getting the context of this post? What top 10? & as you mentioned, sometimes I don't get this Ronaldinho's hype. He was great, but for only 3-4 seasons. The actual greats perform at the highest level for more than 3-4 seasons. That is why I rate Rivaldo & Messi above Ronaldinho.
I just meant Azzurri players weren't hyped befor WC
Rivaldo was world beater until WC2002. Ronaldinho was unplayable until WC2006. Kaka was great until WC2010. 1st Ronaldo was Fenomeno until WC1998. Roberto Baggio ... WC1994. And it deeply hurt me to recollect memories about Maradona after WC1990.
... WC2014 ... ?
That's true. I only meant Azzurri didn't have players who were frequently talked about. Someone like Messi, C Ronaldo,... now.
Italy 2006 surely were a strong squad, and I think Brazil 2014 are the same, though their players are not often on the headline. Neymar has star status, but his form reduce it.
These mentioned footballers make me feel old.
You feel old? What about Roger "Uncle" Milla who was actually old? 42 years old yet still scored in WC? :d
That an ancient relic, xu
