I think thats has more to do with the culture and lifestyle in Spain more than quality of the league.
The news today has Kakà all set for Sao Paulo. Nothing official as of yet but reports say he'll be presented on the 7th.

There seems to be interest in Birsa from both Empoli and Rubin Kazan. The Russians have also proposed swapping Roman Eremenko.

We are looking to sell both Essien and Nocerino. The former for free just to rid ourselves of his wages, and for the latter we'd be looking to cash in on. The objective is to replace these two with Dzemaili, whom Napoli would supposedly be willing to sell for € 3.5-4 mln. His wages shouldn't be a problem, either (€ 1.3 mln/yr). In the midfield department we are also looking at Obiang from Sampdoria.

The Daily Mail is reporting that Real are looking to replace Diego Lopez and apparently Milan, along with Napoli, are interested in signing him.

On a more depressing note, Robinho seems to have "no market".

I must admit I'm very impressed with James Rodriguez this world cup. However, whether he'll fit our system and Inzaghi's supposed system is another matter. For now, I don't think there's a remote chance of even thinking about him.

Some mixed news today...

Noce and Essien to be sold, while Dzemaili (who I personally don't rate) to be signed.

More interesting is we're looking at Pedro Obiang. He's not had the best season, but this guy is a great talent!

We could give Albertazzi/Zapata on loan plus money to get him.

Tuttosport is questioning how we'd buy Iturbe:

...and says Juve are ahead and are looking to secure him:

It's worth bearing in mind that Tuttosport is the one blowing most hot air recently about Juve signing Iturbe, but they're reports need to be taken with a pinch of salt, as they're Turin based and have a very heavy bias towards the Turin sides.
I hope we don't get Dzemaili. He is bench material at best, so I don't see the point. We need to start giving the bench (and also therefore minutes) to our youngsters rather then bringing average players that will make a couple Mil in wages and "steal" minutes from our youth.....while delivering very little in the process.
There is no point mentioning Rodriguez he cost Monaco almost €45m and is in no way possible , he also wants La Liga.
kaka is gone I just wonder if we'll now move for Iturbe or if there'll be another excuse like we must sell Mexes or Robinho first.
The fear of usual Milan is there , identify a good player talk talk lose him then sign an average player in the same position for cheap or for free.
I only mention Rodriguez bc he impressed me the most in this WC. I doubt Milan can sign someone of his class now.
You know what I notice, Yepes and Zapata are the best CB pair in this WC. To think Milan choose Mexes over Yepes.

I wouldn't agree with that. They were in a weakish group and have given up lots of chances nearly 70 in their 4 games with well over 40 on target.Against better finishers they would possibly not be where they are.
I'm not saying g Colombia are bad as they're great going forward but not in the defence they've been a bit fortunate to have not conceded more.A 38 year old Yepes would be not good for Milan.
It hasn't been made official yet but Sao Paulo's VP has said Kakà will be joining them on a loan spell.

So now we'll buy Iturbe I mean all that was in the way was Kaka...right isn't that what B.Berlu Galliani all the high rolling pundits said ??? ...

I was getting excited at the prospect of iturbe but I have that feeling we won't make a move in the coming days as promised....and ultimately lose out on him.
