Somehow, I have a hard time believing that story. The coach of a team desperately needed quality in CB and midfielder specifically asking for a mediocre striker? Allegri might not be the second coming of Capello but nobody is that dumb. I keep feeling like it was one of those "We have to sign players that the president likes" situations and Allegri was simply the fall guy.
