RE: Summer transfer window 2017 - devoted_dm - 06-01-2017 If the new management can hold on to Donnarumma they will definitely have won me over. 4.5 million is a lot of money though, the same as what Buffon is making. Apparently Raiola wants a release clause too, which I think is a shitty move on his part (let's not pretend the will of the kid actually matters here), but whatever... Sent from my E5823 using Tapatalk RE: Summer transfer window 2017 - reza - 06-01-2017 18 or 28 he can stop it any moment he wants, in my opinion some are over rating the 'teenager' angle, to me he is very responsible for what happens. True, he's 18 and a grown-up. Not 13 and a kid. At the end of the day it's his decision. RE: Summer transfer window 2017 - nefremo - 06-01-2017 Absolutely agree Reza. He is an intelligent person and his will counts 100%. Nobody can make him do anything he doesn't want to. I hate Raiola, but again, he works for Gigio and will do as directed. As an agent/advisor he will give Gigio options and maybe even try to sway him one way or another, but ultimately, it's Donnarumma that decides. It may be hard to say this.....but it's clear that our "golden boy" is not a die hard Milan fan and will eventually leave when the cards are right. He doesn't care about Milan as much as we all thought he does. I'm fine with it. But I hope that when he leaves it's on our terms, not his or Raiola's. They want a release clause? Fine! 120mil. If someone pays it, take him. After all, it was Raiola that was running his filthy mouth just a few months ago saying how Gigio is worth 100mil. Make him eat his words now. RE: Summer transfer window 2017 - AC_Troy - 06-01-2017 I said it once and I'll say it again: Donnarumma isn't going anywhere RE: Summer transfer window 2017 - reza - 06-01-2017 (06-01-2017, 09:43 PM)nefremo Wrote: Absolutely agree Reza. Yes agreed (06-01-2017, 10:02 PM)AC_Troy Wrote: I said it once and I'll say it again: In my opinion this is no longer a 'this summer' issue. This is already well on the path we have traveled before, if not this summer next if not next then one after. Especially if there is a release clause, every summer we will have Mou/Pep/etc willing to pay it rumours RE: Summer transfer window 2017 - ACMILAN1983 - 06-01-2017 This situation sets a potentially dangerous precedent, especially if there is a release clause. The bigger question is can this be worth it? He's already split fans in this situation, he's pushing himself out of contention for future captaincy and worst of all his character will be called into question as he will be seen as a mercenary. Hell even Ibra was seemingly prepared to stay for less money before going PSG. It reminds me of Kaka if I'm honest, who for his work I have nothing but respect, however his (well his father's) constant contractual demands means I have a bittersweet memory of him and he'll simply never hold a place in my heart, as I just remember the greed that was there. I'd be very interested in knowing what Donnarumma and his family's view is on this, because they come off extremely greedy in this scenario. Is it worth it, when in a couple of years he'd easily get that amount anyway as the club would be keen to keep renewing. As for Raiola, well he doesn't surprise me, I've always been disgusted by him. BTW, I'm not suggesting that players shouldn't ask for money, but there are ways to do it tactfully without potentially destroying your reputation, plus there are times where showing a little patience will reap greater rewards later. This situation leaves me with a bitter taste. As with Kaka, I suspect how I view Gigio will change. I suspect I may be in the minority though. Edit: a quick caveat, I'm only going off of the rumours, but as I often say, we don't know the full reality, so I think it will be clearer when (or if) a contract is signed and we understand what's been agreed. With that, apparently Mirabelli wants a decision soon or Milan will move to the alternative targets. Not sure what the source was, but it was some journalist on twitter. Take it as you will, but it does make sense as all of the transfers that Mirabelli was working on behind the scenes while the takeover was happening (RR, Musacchio) are basically done and I am sure he was planning on having Keita done too as that was also a name he's been working on for a while. Having said that, I wonder who the alternatives are.... RE: Summer transfer window 2017 - honsano - 06-02-2017 Sign Donna then sell him in a year or two for crazy money to fund our stadium. We need to get back to the days when the players bleed for this jersey. Also one less Raiola player is fine by me. |
