RE: Summer transfer window 2017 - ACMILAN1983 - 06-09-2017 I think on Donnarumma there's a lot of talk in the press right now given it's a hot topic, but I would expect it's actually a lot quieter in the background than they make it seem. It's quite simple, Milan's made their offer, Donnarumma's going to give a decision next week (assuming the rumours are right on this). Either way, I don't think this will drag out too much longer, I doubt Fassone and Mirabelli would want to wait until July. The situation with Keita is clearly very very messy. The relationship between him (and his entourage) and Lazio seems to be completely broken. However, I think for the moment our best bet is just give it a day or two to see how things pan out, as it's very unclear as to what's going on. I'd like him here, but if it doesn't get resolved, we should look elsewhere. We obviously have to get other priorities done anyway right now, such as working out the deal with Atalanta for Conti and trying to work out which striker is most realistically possible. That is probably the big questionmark and one that might drag out a little, as we're in a pretty difficult spot. It seems right now Belotti is most realistic, but it really depends on whether Cairo will actually start negotiating and stop with the ludicrous demands that no one will meet. For the moment, our mercato stands at Complete: Kessie, Musacchio, RR Probable: Biglia and Conti For me that leaves us needing 2 more additions. One is the "star" striker we've been hoping for to replace Bacca, the other imo would either be a winger/forward that brings pace and quality (e.g. Keita) or another midfielder with Bonaventura playing higher up the field. After that, I think the key of the mercato is done, from there the focus needs to be just looking at smart additions to try and give depth. RE: Summer transfer window 2017 - sylrus - 06-09-2017 napoli want to buy suso for 16m, what a joke, lol when we pay kessie more than 16m why should we settle for a player that will be a key to us for lower than that. RE: Summer transfer window 2017 - Arildonardo - 06-09-2017 After all the striker-talk I'd be pretty disappointed if we ended up with Kalinic... RE: Summer transfer window 2017 - somedevil - 06-09-2017 Conti is ours. His agent confirmed. Milan negotiating the final deal with Atalanta. Also, Davide Di Gennaro (remember him) is somehow back in the picture. The only thing that worries me is that a lot of talented youths like Felicioli and Bellanova are possibly a part of these deals. I really hope we don't let them go completely. RE: Summer transfer window 2017 - GeoTav - 06-09-2017 It looks like the way Fassone and Mirabelli work on this mercato is getting us some more appeal back (not yet like in the good old days because we start from far !) ... Faster than we could have expected. RE: Summer transfer window 2017 - reza - 06-09-2017 Rachid Ghezzal (Bosman) and Tolisso rumours again RE: Summer transfer window 2017 - Hitman - 06-09-2017 (06-09-2017, 04:31 AM)WCmilan Wrote: Keita reminds me of a young C.Ronaldo IMO. He's a bit selfish on the ball, he's got quick feet and very explosive runner with some decent finishing technique. He has the potential mold to become a very similar player. Again, the direct comparison is a bit foggy but I'm just trying to give my evaluation on him, specifically the things I like. I've been a fan of Keita ever since I noticed and began to follow him. IMO, from all the players we're linked with so far he's by far the best player in my book and potentially World Class. I don't think he's like Cristiano as I actually believe Keita has more of a football IQ than CR (not saying he's a better player). Keita to me resembles Adriano (Parma/Inter). The reason I like Keita is because he always is existent and rarely 'non-existent' like you claim. Every time he gets the ball he's dangerous. That's a sign of a top top player. Every player has different personalities and attitudes. Cristiano's attitude is an absolutely disgusting and selfish one yet look where it has took him. Keita may have had to battle through many people who didn't believe in him given how good he really is and probably because of his race too. Since you claimed it, can you share some of these horrific attitude issues that might affect Milan if we potentially sign him? (06-09-2017, 02:49 PM)somedevil Wrote: Conti is ours. It better be a loan or we should have a fixed buy-back clause. I like Conti and am excited to see him here. His agent said they have an agreement with Milan... but he's not ours yet. We still need to find a financial agreement with Atalanta. RE: Summer transfer window 2017 - devoted_dm - 06-09-2017 So Ibra is officially a free agent. I have to say I'd love it if we took him back. With Raiola being his agent it's impossible, of course, but I think he would still have something to offer for another season or two. However there was talk a little while ago about him finishing his career in the US and then returning to Milan as a staff member. That's actually a hypothesis I think is a bit more likely, as we appear to be his favourite out of all the clubs he's played for (which is why he didn't speak to Galliani for more than a year after being sold). If he does decide to stay in football after he ends his playing career, I think we would only benefit from having someone with his mentality on board. RE: Summer transfer window 2017 - Arildonardo - 06-09-2017 Man United agrees terms with Morata. PSG lead race for James. PSG join race for Donnarumma. Well there's his turning up late for training due being out the night before. The one where he was a birthday bash in Barcelona is one I remember. That is something that has happened with him on quite a few occasions. Lazio made a statement back in August that comments by Keita were heavily aggressive offensive and unacceptable when he asked to be left put of the Lazio squad because he said he was injured and when Inzaghi communicated that to the press Keita launched an attack on him even though he had asked to be left out. His public outbursts in 2015 of play me or I'll leave and then play me or I'll quit. Being sent away when in Barcelona youth setup for fighting with coaches teammates and playing a prank in a teammate while in Qatar which saw him sent away to lower league teams and left leave. A google search will show more.Ofcourse these are not a deal breaker , not for me.Id still like him at Milan if he really wants to be.But there's always a risk with him. And he has been anything but always dangerous , in fact up until the last couple of months he was as inconsistent as can be.His finishing and decision making were infuriating at times.I have seen him a lot over the last few years and he was far from dangerous every time he was on the ball. But I wouldn't expect a young player to be ultra consistent.Ronaldo has a drive to success and works very hard to be one of the best.He can be selfish at times but what he's done in football it turns out pretty damn well. I don't know I wouldn't compare his selfish approach at times to Keita idiocy at times. He also reminds me of Adriano not so much in style as Adriano was hella explosive , he reminds me of him in his attitude although Adriano wasn't aggressive and offensive in public henwas just a lover of party's. |
