Also I'm starting to think that F&M really did give him an ultimatum, that it was either Milan or Raiola. Which is fine with me, given Raiola's behaviour and greed. It just pisses me off that Galliani forced Bonaventura to drop his old agent in favour of Raiola as well, as I predict this will lead to more problems for us soon.

Di Marzio saying we're close to Perin.

Agreed. I am not saying Raiola can do anything about us putting him in the stands. Obviously he can't. My point when I said that he "won't allow" that, was more in terms of Real and PSG. They might want Real and they might demand that Milan deals with only Real, but the fact is if Real doesn't pay what we want them to or if they don't want him this summer......Mino won't let his player stay on the stands so he will definitely pressure Donnarumma to accept PSG even if he doesn't want to.

I don't have a preference as to where he goes as long as it's not Juventus. Just set the price, and whoever pays it can have him. If not, he can stay on the sidelines all season and they can have him for free.

RE: Summer transfer window 2017 - Hitman - 06-16-2017

I personally still don't think the Donnarumma saga is not over. I think Raiola made a mess out of the situation and Fassone did the right move in putting the pressure on Donnarumma & Raiola. They now know Fassone doesn't play.

I believe Donnarumma wants to stay in Milan and would have even accepted 2-3m/season. I think Fassone's move is going to create a lot of tension between the Donnarummas and Mino Raiola. There's a lot of politics going in in the family right now - those who are pro-Mino & anti-Milan and pro-Milan & anti-Mino. Donnarumma still has a one year contract here and can reject any offer that comes to him - if he does want to change his mind. We haven't heard him speak yet.

Plus, we don't have to sell him if we have that much money. Especially not for 30m. We have to learn to be as dirty as Mino has been with us. We have to look at what Man Utd did with De Gea. They kept him as a prisoner, didn't allow Madrid to sign him, benched him (in a WC or Euro year I think?) until he renewed. Madrid signed a new keeper and they don't need De Gea any more.. moreover Manchester didn't have to accept the 25m-30m bid from Real and now can accept a 60-70m bid which is what he truly's worth. That's what we must do with Donnarumma. We have to make the most out of him like he's attempting to make the most out of us.

Even if he changes his mind I don't want him to stay. After this yesterday he'll always be a unworthy little piece of crap.
Don't want that kind of scum anywhere around Milan.

So Perin is probably our new gk. I'm pretty happy about it, to be honest.

We can't really expect to upgrade on Donnarumma, but having the best GK is not a priority for me at all. As long as we have a capable one, it's a step sideways. The best move would be moving forward with the rest of our mercato. Snap up someone like Perin or Neto to fill the gap quickly, and then continue reinforcing the midfield and attack.

agents often get fired by their clients when they find out that they are representing their own self and not the clients complete interests.

what if Donnarumma discovers that Raiola told Fassone that it was Gigio who didn't want to stay at all and not Mino's personal decision? Mino disguises every action he makes by saying 'my client said this....'

The Milan world has all totally collapsed and we haven't even given Donnarumma a chance to speak as this could be one big misunderstanding that would make complete sense - Raiola's a selfish prick and his history speaks for itself... Donnarumma, barring this moment, has always loved Milan. Yes - it all could have been an act.... but what if it wasn't?

Wouldn't it really suck if we're kicking away our potential bandiera just because of Raiola's selfishness and his abusing of this dumb 18 year old telling him to trust him and everything will be okay? Gigio's been our boy since he was 14 and it definitely felt like he truly loved these colours and until he speaks, I'll still keep an open mind. Everyone makes mistakes - especially when you're an 18 year old. He simply trusted Raiola and Raiola said that he will definitely not renew his contract [for a reason that we don't know yet]. To me, this is all Raiola... and of course Gigio has given him the green light to negotiate on his behalf, but he's still a kid who's being managed by the same manager who managed Ibra, Pogba and many others. Donnarumma's is wow'd by Raiola's experience and how he manages to get money for his clients so Donnarumma wrongly gives this blind faith to Raiola for him to negotiate on his behalf even without his presence.

I say let's wait a little bit longer and hear what Gigio has to say. Italy will play Denmark in the their first game of the U21 Euros on Sunday and Gigio's expected to start, I expect him to make a comment between now and then.

To me, this really does not add up. That's why I'm not pretending to know everything: namely the fact that Donnarumma definitely wants more money than 5m/season and a bigger club than Milan. Shit does not make sense. Only way I can make sense out of this is that there's some power plays going on between Raiola & Fassone and at the moment. Fassone has Raiola/Donnarumma in a checkmate position. Get out of Milan (and the world of football will turn against Gigio for some time and it'll stain his career, and life) or divorce Raiola and stay.

It's unfortunate that we are forcing the kid to pick between agent and club but I am 100000% behind Fassone. I support his decision and no player is bigger than the club. Death to Mino and scum like him. Mino's going to struggle to deal with clubs going forward after this fiasco.

What worries me though is all the damage that the fans have done to Donnarumma on social media. That damage can't be undone... but Raiola's decision to refuse the contract renewal can definitely be undone. There's a year left on his contract ffs, anything can happen. We Milanisti really, really jumped the gun and could have destroyed our relationship with Donnarumma in a way that it couldn't be fixed... all this drama just because of ONE fact: Raiola said that Donnarumma will definitely not renew his contract [under the conditions that were currently proposed by Fassone on June 14, which is still quite early in the summer window, it could just be Mino's [failed] tactics to get a better contract, no?].

There's still more to come regarding this saga. Patience.

RE: Summer transfer window 2017 - winstonwolfe - 06-16-2017

To be honest, Donnarumma was one of very few bright things in Milan recently. Because of that he was launched to stars, but he really is not worthy all this fuss. He is talented, but there is long way ahead of him to be a world class goalkeper. He just is not worth all this trouble.
The best thing for Milan is to get rid of him, does not matter how much we will get for him, just let him go and close this chapter. We do not need problems with him anymore in new season, we need positive atmosphere around Milan.
Fassone, let him go.

RE: Summer transfer window 2017 - nefremo - 06-16-2017

Hitman, I understand what you are saying, but that's gotta be your hope talking. Gigio has had a full month to come out and talk....instead he was in Montecarlo meeting with the Raiolas and taking pictures with them like they've been best friends their whole life. He's also had an entire day after everything to come out and clarify the situation...instead his family is coming out and spitting bullshit out at every corner. Screw them! You are right, this can't be undone and I don't feel one bit bad about it.
Gigio loved Milan? How? How do we know that? All we know right now is that he promised to sign with Inter and than the next day his family and him made their way to sign for Milan. That is shit behavior, and behavior that's clearly not changed. This was one of the most publicized and drawn out contract negotiations I remember in a while at Milan. Gigio never, NEVER, did anything to make things easier. His comments of "we'll see" after he was asked about the renewal, and the "I love Milan, but my interests have to be met", followed by "My family, Raiola, and myself are one tight unit" are worthy of a bitchslap themselves. One tight unit??? What about Milan and the fans? What about the team the groomed him since he was 14, the team that gave him the opportunity and TRUST to be a starter at 16, what about the club that believes in him enough at the age of 18 to make him the 4th highest paid GK in world? Does any of that not count for him? Fuck him man! Let's once and for all stop blaming Raiola. Yes, he is to blame. But we all know how these things work. If Donna wanted to renew, he would have. Period!

He benefitted big time from being a GK at Milan. Him and Raiola used than and now they screwed us. If he was a GK at Udinese for example, no matter how impressive, he would have still been making 500k a year and his transfer fee would have probably been at most 10mil. But this is Milan, and if you start here, everything is doubled, tripled, quadrupled....

Where I agree with you is the fact that this is likely not about money. There is a "political" division here between the management and Raiola ever since Galliani was cast aside. Mino has been talking shit about Milan and the new owners since Galliani was thrown out the door like the piece of shit that he is. So yes, undoubtedly this is not about money. There were 2 sides in this war....and for some reason Gigio chose the side of Raiola. Whether that was Mino feeding him shit, the family feeding him shit, or whatever else...we might never know. But these are the facts and he is just as much to blame.

The right thing would have been to repay the trust that the club showed in him. He should have signed the contract and than if in a couple of years the club showed no signs of coming back to the glory days, he could have asked to be sold. Nobody would have had these reactions at that point. Yes, people would have still been upset, but not like this. This is just the dirtiest and sickest way to treat "the club of your dreams"...who by the way in no way, shape, or form tried to shortchange you. As a matter of fact, it attempted to give you the world in your hands.
