Gigio thought that Mino had this totally handled thats why he didn't need to talk. He did the right thing supposedly by trusting his agent.

He's also had an entire day after everything to come out and clarify the situation...instead his family is coming out and spitting bullshit out at every corner.

He's training for the U21 Euros when this came out and he's focused on winning the competition. He's 18 and does not know how to react from a distance. His family and Raiola are in Milan, he is in Poland. He can't act alone at this age. And it's only been ONE day since the story broke. And what story? That Raiola refused the contract offer definitively - THATS IT.

Gigio loved Milan? How? How do we know that?

How do you NOT know that at this stage? How has Gigio proven to you that he does NOT love Milan besides that ONE fact that Raiola refused the offer? You might be right, but as of now, your opinion is not supported by any facts.

All we know right now is that he promised to sign with Inter and than the next day his family and him made their way to sign for Milan.

If anything, this does show that he's a snake, but it shows he loves Milan, not that he doesn't.

Gigio never, NEVER, did anything to make things easier. His comments of "we'll see" after he was asked about the renewal, and the "I love Milan, but my interests have to be met", followed by "My family, Raiola, and myself are one tight unit" are worthy of a bitchslap themselves. One tight unit??? What about Milan and the fans? What about the team the groomed him since he was 14, the team that gave him the opportunity and TRUST to be a starter at 16, what about the club that believes in him enough at the age of 18 to make him the 4th highest paid GK in world? Does any of that not count for him? ***** him man! Let's once and for all stop blaming Raiola. Yes, he is to blame. But we all know how these things work. If Donna wanted to renew, he would have. Period!

You're right. I don't disagree that he didn't make this any easier. But he's still 18, has one of the most famous and corrupt agents in the world. Raiola could totally be controlling him telling him what to do. Donnarumma being the respectful kid that he is, listened to Raiola... who is the only person he's supposed to trust in football (his agent). What Gigio did was the right thing ETHICALLY to his agent, but terribly wrong to Milan - and that could very well be Mino Raiola's instructions am I right?

Where I agree with you is the fact that this is likely not about money. There is a "political" division here between the management and Raiola ever since Galliani was cast aside. Mino has been talking shit about Milan and the new owners since Galliani was thrown out the door like the piece of shit that he is. So yes, undoubtedly this is not about money. There were 2 sides in this war....and for some reason Gigio chose the side of Raiola.

At the moment, he's on Raiola's side. Time changes a lot of things. Let's wait and see how this plays out. He's still an 18 year old and very immature - clearly. We don't want to turn our backs on him just because of his one mistake - choosing & trusting Raiola. Something that we always knew was coming back to haunt us

We fans are just impatient and butt-hurt. This is how we're handling rejection, by taking it all out on him on social media. Hope it makes you guys feel better about yourselves though.

RE: Summer transfer window 2017 - slifersd - 06-16-2017

Lots of news to digest from the last couple of days, especially with the whole Donnarumma situation. Here is my take on the whole thing:

Raiola might be a greedy pig who doesn't actually know how to be a successful agent without resorting to school yard thug tactics, but this whole thing is on Donna more than anyone else. At the end of the day, a player's agent does NOT have the authority or the right to demand a player do anything for him. In this situation, the one interesting thing I found was that Donna seemed absolutely offended that we were not willing to give Raiola a percentage of resell fee. Now that is just absurd. The club is committed to paying over the moon for you, and your priority is to make sure your agent gets paid? That's like me starting a street riot to protest about the poor working conditions of the local prostitutes I visit. For whatever reason, the Donnarumma family and Raiola runs much deeper than a simple player-agent relationship. And that's why Raiola had so much power in this entire situation.

If the rumors are true that Donna is going to Real, then I have serious doubts about just his future development. Real fans are accustomed to mega stars, not prospects. At the GK position, in particular, a prospect's mistakes can lead to title changing outcomes, and I doubt Real fans would be very forgiving for an outsider making these mistakes. I mean, Casillas might be able to get away with it from here and there, but an outsider doesnt have a chance in hell if his mistakes cost them titles. In addition to that, Navas might not be a superstar, but he is absolutely beloved by Zidane and the team. Think about it, they are actually telling Florentino to not sign De Gea because they want Navas more. With that kind of ringing endorsement from the coaching staff, Donna is going to have a major uphill climb to unseat Navas for regular playing time. He'd essentially be a 6M a year bench warming GK, and that is not a great way to advance your career. In fact, I can foresee a situation where Donna starting over Navas actually causes the locker room to turn on Donna and give him hell. That kind of things have happened at Real before and it certainly wouldn't be surprising if it happens again. As an 18 year old, I honestly don't think Real is the right situation for Donna.

I personally think that we absolutely HAVE TO sell Donna this summer. For all this talk of Real and PSG, I have this sneaky feeling that Juve could very well be in the picture to sign Donna if he becomes a free agent. It would be a very Juve like move to steal a major talent with contract expiring from a rival, wouldn't it? I mean, look at what they are doing with Keita if you need an example of this. It sucks to lose Donna, it would suck worse to lose him for free, it would be just devastating if we hand him over to Juve as a ready made replacement for Buffon. For the sake of avoiding the worst case scenario, we have to sell him now while we control his destiny to a degree. Money isn't the biggest problem, but making the right decision from a business perspective is the key here. It might sound like a cool way to avenge our anger by benching Donna a year, but the eventual outcome of that could be more devastating than anything else. Just sell the idiot, and let him enjoy Bernabeu's bench and be done with it.

I can discuss all your other points, I have no problem with that. We all have an opinion, so I guess we'll just have to agree to disagree on most of them.

But this last comment you made is not necessary. You wanna give every excuse in the book for Donnarumma, go ahead. It's your right, and again as I said, I completely understand. It's an opinion and for all I know yours could be the right one. But don't come around calling people butt-hurt and being right down disrespectful to people's opinions. If you don't agree, you don't agree. That's all you have to say.

Corriere della Sera is reporting it too. Mr. Li doesn't play, it seems.

He sounds like Antonio Dollarumma, the butt-hurt brother. Maybe that comment was reserved for himself after all.

Exactly .

He can say he loves Milan and has loved Milan etc. He got the money that he wanted and still didn't choose us. If he goes and gets paid more somewhere else for more money then we got our answer.

After reading our forum and other sites and seeing the kissing of our badge pics , that's what's making me upset. You love our team don't leave it then. If our team is just a paycheck , then earn your paycheck ( you don't have to love your job as long as you do what is expected of you for your pay)

Others have mentioned that they are not worried about finding a GK, im also in the same boat . We will be fine with a solid young GK and as long as we can play well defensively as a unit we will be just fine.
