RE: Summer transfer window 2017 - reza - 04-28-2017

Many meetings at Casa Milan it seems, separately with agents of Ghoulam and Pellegrini for example.

What's everyone's thoughts about Ghoulam as an option for the left side?

RE: Summer transfer window 2017 - Sampinjon - 04-28-2017

Well ,we must be honest and say that he invented football for all our backs, not just left. But let's not forget that City and Chelasea also monitoring his situation (at least they did in january) ,so...we'll see about our chances to actualy sign him.

RE: Summer transfer window 2017 - Jay Crisp - 04-28-2017

Ghoulam is good bothe definsively and in attack he is superior to any right or left back we have had for years. He wouod be a welcome addition especiallu for the €10-€15m being thrown about.

RE: Summer transfer window 2017 - nefremo - 04-28-2017

He would instantly become he best (most complete) fullback in this current squad. He is solid defensively and very good going forward. A great left foot on him, something that we have desperately missed on the left side. You could make a very good case that he is probably the most balanced left back in the league and wouldn't be too far off. I had no idea that he is even an option to be honest so I am very pleasantly surprised by the news. I hope it's true and that we can work out a deal with Napoli. Rumors are saying that personal terms are not a problem, but Fassone/Mirabelli are meeting with De Sciglio's agent in a little bit to find a definite solution to his situation. It seems like we are headed to replacing De Sciglio with Ghoulam. When it comes to the LB position, I would take Ghoulam over MDS any day.....but I don't think the 2 operations should be related (even though it seems that they are). Ghoulam on the left and MDS on the right should be very good....but obviously this has to do with MDS contract issue.

About Pellegrini...I think he is talented. Can't say I've seen a great deal of him but from what I've seen he seems good, however not sure if he is ready to be a starter here. At least not if we want to fight at the top. I don't have a problem with us bringing him in, but if Roma asks for the ridiculous 30m as some outlets are saying, than I'll pass. We need guarantees in the midfield. We need a world class player ready to pull the strings as I've said before. Pellegrini is currently not that player. He is not ready to own the midfield yet, and that's what we need. Someone that will do that. We need to start winning immediately. We need to be back in the CL. Only after that and after we have a starting 11 set up for success, we should start looking at investing heavy into players that might take 1-2 seasons to integrate into the squad and eventually take over. I feel like that's what Pellegrini is right now. A good talented player, but one that will take a couple of seasons to get to the level where he takes over. We simply don't have that kind of time and are not set up for that just yet. We need to build a strong starting 11 first, move some of our current starters to the bench and go with that. Than, next year, when we will have made the CL and confirmed our name back into the mix of things, we can start investing into players like Pellegrini.

Having said all that, if we can get him for let's say 10-15mil, or maybe some kind of an exchange with one of our rotational players + a little bit of cash...than I'm all for it. I just don't want us to spend 25+mil on him and treat that signing as if it will be a game changer in the midfield...because it won't be. For that kind of money (or maybe 5-10mil more), that are younger players a lot more prepared than Pellegrini currently is. Talking about players like Kovacic/Koziello...

RE: Summer transfer window 2017 - am I Milan enough? - 04-28-2017

Pelegrini for 30M could turn out to be Berto part 2 (d*** it took me few minutes to think of his name because hes been out for too long this season). With 30M on hands, Im sure there are better options out there.

RE: Summer transfer window 2017 - Stitch - 04-28-2017

Sky: De Sciglio reiterated his will to be sold. Juventus, Napoli, Bayern, Man City and Liverpool are interested.

Are those teams seeing something I cant?

RE: Summer transfer window 2017 - nefremo - 04-28-2017

I would give a kidney for something like this...

----------------------Donnarummma--------------------------
RB------Musacchio--------Romagnoli-------Ghoulam
-----------------------Badelj/Locatelli---------------------------
--------------Kovacic------------------Bonaventura----------
-------Suso--------------------------------Douglas Costa----
--------------------------Aubameyang----------------------------

This is also easily convertable into a 4231 with Costa on the right, Suso in the middle, Bonaventura on the left.

Didn't see this on here but we are linked to De Vrij of Lazio now. Apparently we leap frogged Inter which is always a good thing especially after Kondogbia. Don't know him or Musacchio but I supppose any defender with Serie A experience is better than one without.

Looks like we're trying to intercept Roma's agreement with Atalanta for Kessie:

I personally prefer Musacchio. I think he fits better next to Romagnoli. De Vrij is a similar player to Romagnoli, while Musacchio compliments him better imo. He is better at 1v1 defending, quick, explosive, physical and aggressive. The downside for both players is that they seem to be injury prone, but rumors are that Musacchio is 15mil while De Vrij will be at least 25.

I hope this isn't true. He is a good player but not worth 30mil imo. As I've said before, I think we need to insert a world class player in our midfield. Our big buy in the midfield should be a world class player, not one that has had 1 good season at Atalanta and will be more of a project than a certainty. I don't mind bringing Kessie PLUS a big time midfielder....but if we are going to spend 30mil on Kessie, than I don't see that happening and that means that Kessie IS the big time buy in the midfield. I don't think he by himself will raise the level to what we needed to be.

On the other hand, this might be some "dirty" tactics by Fassone/Mirabelli. They apparently met with Pellegrini's agents yesterday, so this might be some sort of pressure on Roma to loosen up their demands on Pellegrini. Kind of like "if you don't drop the price on Pellegrini we will just take Kessie from you.......so loosen up your demand on Pellegrini and we will drop the Kessie interest".
