RE: Summer transfer window 2017 - nefremo - 08-22-2017 Yes to Rafinha. It would make my summer as he would be a signing I've wanted for years. I've commented on him in the past. I understand he is a risk due to his injuries. I also know my view is biased. But he would make sense. Left footed player that can step in for Suso on the right, and also can play in the midfield. He is just as talented as his brother (note, I said talented....not just as good, as he hasn't had the game time nor luck with injuries to establish himself). I hope Niang leaves. There is no space for him here. Obviously he can't be forced to, but I don't understand why as a football player you would want to be somewhere where you are not wanted and there are others willing to double your salary. Maybe he's open to Lazio as part of the Keita deal. Niang + Paletta +5\10M for Keita it would be the operation easy for Milan and Lazio because Lazio want Paletta and Niang substitute for Keita the problem are agent Raiola and Calenda not club..... Niang will go away otherwise you do not send a medical certificate, is the same situation for Kelinic,Keita and Dembele ...Niang honestly do not understand where the player wants to go....Lazio is too much better then Torino. Lotito not sell Keita to Juve and have only 2 possibilities Milan or Inter ...Inter for buy Keita need to sell Candreva and is looking to buy Shick. I think this operation could go in the harbor, the last days of the mercato because satisfies all the parties involved.... RE: Summer transfer window 2017 - AC_Troy - 08-23-2017 looks like Tottenham wants Keita RE: Summer transfer window 2017 - Karl08 - 08-23-2017 People like niang, His salary is 800k anually (with full benefits), That's far better than most of the surgeons in europe. I'm quite sure the reason why niang wanted to stay in milan is because the city. He doesnt care about his football RE: Summer transfer window 2017 - nefremo - 08-23-2017 Sure, maybe you are right. If he is satisfied with that, than ok. But what do you think clubs will offer him (in terms of salary) after he sits on the bench (or stands) for the entire season. His deal only runs for 2 more seasons here. After that, it is over. He will than no longer live in Milano and nobody will be willing to offer him even half of that money. If on the other hand he goes somewhere where he'll be first choice, he can still live in a good place (Rome or Moscow are not terrible places to live by the way) and prolong his career with significant salaries for a longer period. RE: Summer transfer window 2017 - Hitman - 08-23-2017 I too would prefer a player like Rafinha over Renato Sanchez, only issue (which is a main issue) is how injury prone he is. Renato is a lot like Kessie and both around the same age. We need players that offer different characteristics to give us different solutions not exact copies of each other. Still though, I think we need 1 super player. Someone to carry the team when things go bad. Someone to score goals when we're struggling. Kalinic did that last year for Fiorentina but Milan is not the same as Viola. We will play a similar attacking possession-based style under Montella but the pressure doesn't compare. I think I saw a fact in the summer that he was the most decisive player in Serie A (or even in Europe), decisive as in the one who has won the most points for his team with his goals when the team was not in a winning position. That's the character the we ought to seek. Fassone mentioned yesterday that we have completed the spine of the team with Kalinic's signing that consists of him, Biglia & Bonucci. It shows how much they value experience and immediate results for today and not tomorrow. I don't think Kalinic is the new Ibra, but he's going to have quite an impact here and he's more like a less-arrogant Ibra that plays for the team. Huge upgrade from Bacca though for sure. With that WC left-winger that can carry us and another mezzala, we can seriously target a treble. Mirabelli's built a wonderful squad that should be able to endure the long season. Still there are 8 days left for departures and hopefully, the icing on the cake. RE: Summer transfer window 2017 - GeoTav - 08-23-2017 The problem with Niang is the comments of Montella who were contrary to the situation. You cant publicly say that the guy might stay and have a role in the squad with a 3rd or 4th chance in the club and at the same time, trying to offload him as soon as possible. If the player trusted Montella, we're fucked up, he will want to stay and try to have some minutes here and there, hoping for a player being injured or off form to get a decent chance. IMO, the mistake is there, Montella probably said what he said in the post game interviews just to avoid low offers for Niang and show to the interested clubs we want decent offers for him. He probably forgot how stupid Niang is and how greedy Raiola is. RE: Summer transfer window 2017 - Nicolas - 08-23-2017 Give me Renato over Rafinha any day of the week. If Rafinha can’t cut it in Barca’s lacking midfield, then he is not going to make a difference here. He holds on to the ball for too long, he is clumsy and his decision making is quite poor from what I have seen of him. Add to that his injury records and you are looking at someone who will most likely disappoint. The potential gains of Renato is a lot bigger than with Rafinha. I don’t see the issue with Renato and Kessié having comparable skillsets, first of all we need someone to cover Kessié when he is out, and in some matches you need a lot of brawn. Chelsea are building their midfield on Kanté and Bakayoko who are quite similiar as well, so I wouldn’t be so worried about that. RE: Summer transfer window 2017 - GeoTav - 08-23-2017 (08-23-2017, 07:53 AM)Nicolas Wrote: Give me Renato over Rafinha any day of the week. Which is a huge mistake from Conte who had a complete midfielder in Matic and replaced him by a one dimensional midfielder like Bakayoko ... RE: Summer transfer window 2017 - ACMILAN1983 - 08-23-2017 If Rafinha is a possibility, I'd see him coming more for the wings than midfield to be honest. He's an alternative to Suso, but with his versatility he'd be able to play on the left too. That would mean we'd have Suso, Bonaventura, Calhanoglu and Rafinha for the wide areas, with all of them able to play behind the forwards (if we were to change system) and the latter 3 able to play in midfield too (as I said though, I think Rafinha would be coming more for the offensive third). If he comes, I would want an option though, not a dry loan. For midfield, I think what's critical is we get a player who can offer box to box qualities. We have creative players for the midfield (see paragraph above) and we have solid players defensively (Biglia, Locatelli, Kessie and even Montolivo). However, in the squad only Kessie is a true box to box midfielder that offers balance both defensively and offensively. If he's out, as we saw in the Betis friendly we lose an important quality in the side. You can makeshift players and change system, but if we're looking at using a 3 man midfield frequently this season, then I think we need a player of this type. It looks like over the next week or so the plan is building towards selling Niang, Sosa and Paletta (or Gomez if the right offer comes) and replacing them with a new wide attacker, a midfielder and possibly a defender (I think only in the event that both Paletta and Gomez go). If this happens (and we get a quality attacker and midfielder) this mercato is easily a 10/10. |
