RE: Summer transfer window 2017 - ACMILAN1983 - 05-06-2017 I'm not sure what Pellegrini would cost, but I agree there's a possibility of getting him for around 15m if the scenario you guys said plays out. On Kessie, nefremo I do agree he needs to work on his defensive game, which I don't consider terrible, but he can offer much more. That said, I feel that way about pretty much every part of his game, there's significant room for growth in everything he does, I think that's what makes him such an interesting prospect. It's probably worth noting that he started out his career as a CB, has moved up to midfield since and today I'd say is more of an outlet to for offensive moves than defensive. What's really interesting is also his physical maturity, he moves like someone who's already physically at his peak, despite only being 20. I'd also reiterate, the guy's a prospect, one with a high ceiling imo, but again as has been said a number of times, people expecting him to be our star midfield signing are in for disappointment. RE: Summer transfer window 2017 - Arildonardo - 05-06-2017 Morata too expensive so we go all-in on Kalinic for €35 million. I'm not so sure about this player... http://www.football-italia.net/102161/milan-go-all-kalinic RE: Summer transfer window 2017 - Sampinjon - 05-06-2017 Lol. 15-20 M for him at most. Everything over that is ridiculous. 35M for Kalinic is worst even than Galliani style. RE: Summer transfer window 2017 - sylrus - 05-06-2017 I pretty much prefer belloti for 70m rather than kalinic for 35m. Isn't there any other strikers that we can get for a reasonable price? Bale is being shortlisted by madrid, that would be something if we can get him. Does roma stupid enough to swap dzeko for bacca? Sent from my ASUS_Z00AD using Tapatalk RE: Summer transfer window 2017 - nefremo - 05-06-2017 No Kalinic for me. Rather keep Bacca. Hell I'd rather take back Petagna than spend 35mil on Kalinic. RE: Summer transfer window 2017 - AC_Troy - 05-06-2017 I don't understand the logic of going after Kalinic. He is an upgrade from Bacca, but certainly not the answer to lead us into the future. I'd rather find a young, promising player like Dolberg and spend 30m on him. It's a risk either way, but at least that would be a more sensible risk. RE: Summer transfer window 2017 - Jay Crisp - 05-06-2017 Kalinic at any price is a bad move.Guys 29 not very dynamic , average with the ball at his feet.A decent finisher good at holding up the ball and taking it down but would be a horrendous waste of money at money wasted.Absolute pointless player to sign. RE: Summer transfer window 2017 - ACMILAN1983 - 05-06-2017 I'm not happy with Kalinic for 35m at all. He's not a top player and if anything, he's a downgrade on Bacca. The only thing he has going for him is he's most likely to fit better in Montella's system, but we need someone better. I'd be fine if he was a backup, but I doubt we'll spend 35m for a squad player. Another rumoured is Petagna, presumably for a squad role. However, for me he doesn't score enough at this point to really be considered for a squad with ambition. He'd be a third choice striker imo, and at 21 that would be wasting his career. Imo the dream would be Aubameyang, it's very difficult, but he's a top player who can genuinely bring quality, experience and confidence to our team. Morata's been rumoured a lot and I would be very happy with him too, liked him from his time at Real and Juve, while he's only gone on to show he's a top quality player since returning to Real. He needs a team where he can star, but with Chelsea interested it might be difficult. However, it's players of this ilk that need to be considered for the forward role. Guys who will improve on Bacca, but can also raise the team with their ability and the confidence they bring. Another option is Keita Balde Diao, who imo is better at CF than on the wing, with his stats this season at Lazio being something like 8 goals in 5 games as CF. However, for all I like about his ability, I really do have concerns about his attitude. He's had a lot of problems in his career with being a "difficult" character, and if that's the case, I'm just not interested in us bringing players who don't have the right mental approach. I'm curious to understand what we're planning. Based on the rumours, I'd be very happy if we could build a team that looked like this: --------------------Donnarumma------------------------ Abate--------Musacchio------Romagnoli----------Ghoulam --------------------Locatelli------------------------- -----------Kovacic----------Kessie/Pellegrini--------- -Suso-------------------------------------Bonaventura- -----------------Aubameyang/Morata-------------------- Again, you look through that side and you have a young group, building on some of the foundations of this season, but it's got some experience/leadership in every department. I've already discussed the forwards above, while I think we've really missed Bonaventura since he got injured. In midfield, Locatelli might be a risk and if we could get a guy like Luiz Gustavo to rotate with him then great, otherwise I'd want to see Locatelli just given confidence as a starter. He's shown enough growth this year that imo he deserves to be given the confidence and responsibility to really build around him. He'll make mistakes, but it's only by playing he'll really improve. One thing with him is I think he'll be ok if he's got players around him that can help him. This year he looked fine when Bonaventura was next to him, but since losing Bonaventura and Kucka's drop in form, it's inevitable that a young guy like Locatelli will suffer. I think Kovacic and Bonaventura can really support Locatelli in this lineup. For me, Kovacic is a guy that's completely ready to start being the leader at a top side, so I'd really love to see him being the technical leader and for us to build a young midfield unit that can grow together next season. The defence is there area I have the odd doubt on. I think Abate's been very good this year and would be a good starting point to act as captain next season. He's not going to last long, but if he can rotate with Calabria, then we could have a solid future in RB. Ghoulam I've discussed before, but I think he's an excellent LB and would be a good option to have and hopefully, we'll have a natural long term replacement coming from our youth in Andres Llamas. The only one I'm not sure on is actually Musacchio. I've just not watched enough of him to really say what I think and from what I've seen I'm not totally convinced he's the right guy. That said, I'll try to catch him vs Barca later to see how he does. RE: Summer transfer window 2017 - AC_Troy - 05-06-2017 We should've signed Musacchio when he was first linked to us. I believe he's gotten worse and don't think he's the answer at CB. I don't think we're going to get Ghoulam but would be great if we did. Kovacic remains to be seen, but Real seems to not want to get rid of him ever. I'd prefer Pellegrini to Kessie in the midfield, but both are good. I think we're out of play for Aubameyang & Morata. It's going to be hard for us to sign big names because no Champions League and higher wages offered by other clubs. There's plenty of good talent out there that we can attain. We just have to look in the right places. RE: Summer transfer window 2017 - reza - 05-06-2017 Welcome Troy. Even Europa is not very likely now. The old 'prefer playing in Europe' will hurt us. I just hope we don't go for overpriced alternatives like Kalinic. |
