RE: Summer transfer window 2017 - reza - 05-28-2017 Someone should remind him that as good as he is he has a senior team job because of a Milan coach, and no matter how good he is another coach may have not gotten him to this point this quickly RE: Summer transfer window 2017 - slifersd - 05-28-2017 Donna rumors are all over the place nowadays lol. Here is my take on the situation. First of all, I don't think anyone involved in this situation is necessarily "wrong" per se. And yes, I am aware of the fact that Raiola is a cock roach of a human being, but that doesn't make him wrong either. The reality of it is, a professional athlete's career is very short, and a bad injury can derail it anytime as well. With such a limited window to make money, asking them to leave money on the table is not really fair to them, especially if we are talking about significant amount of money. If Donna can get $6M per year at Man City, for example, then we are talking about almost doubling his money right away. Not many teenagers can say no to that, since they have not had a long career worth of savings in the bank already. Raiola, on the other hand, is someone who is doing the right thing but doing it the wrong way. As a player's agent, it is indeed his job to maximize the player's earning potential. Whether said player would take his advice and choose money over his loyalty, well, that is up to the player to decide. For as much as I dislike Raiola, because of his tendency to whore his players around instead of have actual negotiations with their parent clubs, I have a hard time believing that he is somehow manipulating Donna into any of this right now. Fundamentally, if Donna goes to Raiola and say "forget about those other offers, Milan is where I want to be, and I will take whatever they give me." Then there is literally nothing Raiola can do about it. I must say, I absolutely love the way this management is dealing with Raiola right now. Raiola's dirty tactics is supremely irritating and will cause long term problems for us. Even if Donna signs an extension right now, who is to say Raiola wouldn't come back in two years and do this charade again? This management needs to make a statement to Raiola and the rest of the world. A team, especially a good one, is much bigger than one good goalkeeper, no matter how good he is. Atletico sold De Gea, who is one of the best in the world, and they didn't skip a single beat. Don't get me wrong, I do want Donna to stay, but if he is leaving for man city and we get 75M from his sale, we can definitely turn a negative into a positive by singing a high quality replacement and use the rest of the money on another high quality player or two to improve our quality overall. Summer transfer window 2017 - PerSempre - 05-28-2017 If we do sell Donnarumma, it should be no less than €75M. Doesn't matter if he is only 18 years old, he is part Milan's core team. However, in the (hopefully unlikely) event that we do sell him, we should be looking at suitable replacements. Instead of going for €20M-€30M youth prospects, we should go for experienced goalkeepers who would be no more than €15M. Goalkeepers like Subašić, Diego Alves, or Trapp. We'd be spending a small amount of money for a experienced and quality goalkeeper, and have money added on to our mercato. If we do sell Donnarumma however, I just don't want it to be to Juventus...but hopefully Donnarumma will stay in the end. On a somewhat unrelated topic, Milan should loan Plizzari to a Serie A club where he can get first team experience, because it won't hurt to have two quality keepers. He is being offered 3.5mil ad an 18 year old. How much more are others offering him? 5mil? 6mil? Sure, 1,2 mil is a lot of money, but it doesn't compare to the average person's life as you said with the changing of jobs. This is completely different. Whether you make 3.5 or 5mil, your quality of life will be the same. Nothing will change. Also, he will be at 5/6mil at Milan within a couple of years. Agree with all of this except the last sentence. He doesn't have to give us a chance even though it probably would be the best for both him and us from a sporting point of view. If all he is thinking about at this early stage in his career is money, money, money, then I'm afraid it won't go well with him. Might as well go play in China, they would probably even double what the Manchester-teams would give him. Doesn't matter if he is only 18 years old, he is part Milan's core team. No team is going to pay more than €35M for a guy they can sign for free in a year. Even if we were to make him sit in the stands throughout the season, most of the big teams will be eager to give him a €4-6M deal in January. The club is backed into a corner with Raiola and I applaud the new management for how they are dealing with this, most likely rejecting to insert the same type of bonus clause that Raiola got inserted in Pogba’s last renewal. I think Donnarumma will renew by the end, he’ll shoot himself in the foot longterm by going anywhere else. In every possible way the club is doing what it can to sign players that will elevate the team and allow the club to aim higher again. I hope that Donnarumma isn’t about to leave at this point, just to earn €1-1,5M more per year. RE: Summer transfer window 2017 - AC_Troy - 05-28-2017 Quote:Sources from Napoli claim reports of their interest in Milan goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma were leaked by Mino Raiola to raise his price-tag. HA Napoli calling him out on his bullshit RE: Summer transfer window 2017 - Arildonardo - 05-28-2017 Also Chelsea and Inter want Conti and Atalanta raised their valuation to €25 million. So far we have been prepared to pay €15 million. RE: Summer transfer window 2017 - Siregar - 05-28-2017 Strong response from Fassone. Really like this. Dona should listen to his heart otherwise Milan can replace him. Milan Fans at FB: Fassone: "Milan fans can stay calm, we are committed to building a strong team for next season. We are discussing the voluntary agreement with UEFA, let's see if everything will be agreed by June. I am optimistic. Donnarumma? Raiola is one of the best agents. I won't allow myself to discuss what he does. Gigio for us is a pillar on which we want to build the team next year. We told him and his agent, We are making it clear. When I look to Donnarumma I feel his desire to stay. What we cannot do is waiting, we want to give Montella the team, we want to know if we have our goalkeeper or a goalkeeper with expiring contract. Our times are faster than what can Raiola have. I'm sure we will find a solution, at the moment there isn't a planned meeting. We do not want a goalkeeper with an expiring contract. We will make our assessments, I am confident. We need to have plan B if things do not go as we hope. It's a plan that we are yet to develop because we are convinced that our project is ideal for Gigio. We are willing to make any sacrifice for him [Donnarumma]. If the answer is not positive we will implement plan B. Attackers? Montella made his evaluations and discussed them with Mirabelli. Bacca on the market? We will attempt to build the squad in the best way." RE: Summer transfer window 2017 - porcho - 05-29-2017 Agent Mino Raiola claims the media “are trying to create war between me and Milan” over Gianluigi Donnarumma’s contract. Pretty sure I know who's trying to create the war... Someone needs to convince Gigio to sack this pig... RE: Summer transfer window 2017 - porcho - 05-29-2017 There's a rumour we're looking at Borini. Not a bad signing, but I'm assuming he'll come in to replace lapadulla if the rumour is true. |
