Montolivo is injured and I believe wasn't likely to be used against SPAL as precaution (now he needs to be reviewed and is definitely out of Sampdoria) Big Grin

An interesting tidbit I came across about this match:

http://www.milannews.it/news/milan-spal-kessie-leader-per-chilometri-percorsi-sul-podio-anche-romagnoli-e-andre-silva-268852

Unsurprisingly, Kessie ran the biggest distance on the pitch vs SPAL. This is hardly a shock given his position and playing style.

Silva was also in the top 3, which again isn't a huge surprise given the amount he'd drop back or drive forward from deep, he had a lot of vertical movements.

The surprising one is perhaps Romagnoli, which indicates how high he was pushing in the match and free to join the attack when we held possession. I did notice this in the match itself and it confirms the added value of having ball playing CBs who can offer options going forward to confuse opposing defensive organisation.
