RE: Summer transfer window 2018 - Jay Crisp - 06-28-2018 (06-28-2018, 11:34 AM)Nicolas Wrote: Halilovic joined Barca as an 18 year old, never played for their A team and then spent some years bouncing around from one team facing relegation to the other. That is hardly what you would call stability, and definitely not the way to groom a player into fulfilling their potential. Not every youngster who goes on loan to team after team and not impressing the team enough to want or to try and keep him is an Aubameyang.Hes played almost 200 games and looked nothing more than bog standard regardless of who he played for.Its a low risk move and all we're capable of ATM , I dont expect anything more than a Bojan type result. No surely not, but it is illogical to judge him that harshly, so early in his career, just like it would for most other great players as well. What is beyond doubt, is that every player needs time and the right circumstances to blossom. On top of that I’d discount half of those nearly 200 matches; He wasn’t even 18 when he played in Croatia against grown men, and he impressed enough there for Barca to sign him, and I don’t count Spanish B team matches as anything, if they were indicative of how a player will turn out, Bojan would be greater than Messi now. You can look at his two seasons and 74 matches at Gijon and Las Palmas and say that he is a 22 year old player, with two years of experience from one of the two best leagues in the world, how many of our own youngsters can say that? RE: Summer transfer window 2018 - ACMILAN1983 - 06-28-2018 (06-28-2018, 09:01 AM)edysim Wrote: I dont know but to me, rather than trying our luck on this kind of signing (once was hype), I rather spend on youngster that has potential for future. The difference comes down to costs. This deal isn't likely to be a high cost deal, chances he will come at 10m or less. That's different to a young player who is currently tipped to be a future star. Take Malcom who Inter are chasing, Bordeaux are demanding 40m for him. That's not likely to be feasible for us as long as the corporate situation drags on. The only possibility is to sell and buy using that money. I put "currently" in bold above because we tend to follow the hype in football and it doesn't give any guarantees. Had we signed Halilovic a few years back when he was all the hype, many would see it as a big coup. He's struggled in his growth since, but at 22 he's got plenty of time to come good and we shouldn't lose sight of that. At the same time, buying the player currently being hyped with one good season behind them offers no guarantees, just ask Inter with Gabriel Barbosa (again, another young guy whose lost all the hype). RE: Summer transfer window 2018 - AC_Troy - 06-28-2018 Man City, Chelsea and PSG are all interested in Bonucci and look to take advantage of the uncertainty surrounding Milan right now. RE: Summer transfer window 2018 - sylrus - 06-28-2018 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9HMIHNICYJw try watch this, its halilovic in action against real madrid, i know its real, but still, in the video, i dont like what i saw, he is a lazy player. i think 8m for him is overpriced, should be around 5m only, no more than that. also i read in an article, that his father is keep disturbing his practice regime that has been given by his coach in barca. that is not a sign of someone that will bring a peace in mind, i think this guy will be a trouble maker. hope i'm wrong though. this is the link to the article http://futbolgrad.com/curious-case-alen-halilovic/ update : apparently its free 14:00: Halilovic's agent Fali Ramadani is working on a deal to make his client a free agent, such that the player joins Milan on a free transfer RE: Summer transfer window 2018 - ACM2023 - 06-28-2018 (06-28-2018, 03:03 AM)reza Wrote: Same agent as Kalinic are you suggesting that this is really a smokescreen for us to ship Kalinic off? Before leaving Gabriel will extend his deal with Milan [@AlfredoPedulla] RE: Summer transfer window 2018 - reza - 06-28-2018 (06-28-2018, 04:41 PM)xudong Wrote: are you suggesting that this is really a smokescreen for us to ship Kalinic off?
