Bad decision making in the final third?  Fuck

He'll blend in quite good then...

RE: Summer Mercato 2019 - Kastriot - 09-02-2019

Actually Rebic is kind of player we have been missing. A cynical player how will power through in the box. Both Silva and Samu have been really week in duels, and in Serie A that is quite a weakness.

Two season loan deals with no options to buy? If true it is a bit odd.

RE: Summer Mercato 2019 - nefremo - 09-02-2019

What's the point of agreeing on a valuation (25mil) if thre is no option to buy? Journos made a big deal about the whole valuation thing. It makes sense that there is an option based on that alone. It also might be a topic that's revisited at a later date. Either way, not worried about it.

Not sure where you read that crock of shit

RE: Summer Mercato 2019 - nefremo - 09-02-2019

It's a story Football-Italia ran. It's worth noting that they don't create stories, but just take them from elsewhere and repost. So, not sure where they got it from. The official announcement didn't state anything about an option either....but then again, I don't think that necessarily means there isn't one.

Either way...2 years is a long time. Let's hope he does well here and we can worry about it in 2 years.

I think you misinterpret.  Tough talk directed would be like, "you're a piece of shit".  The report is a crock of shit and if the report is true then that deal is a crock of shit

RE: Summer Mercato 2019 - nefremo - 09-02-2019

That's it boys! Market is over. Not bad. Could have been better (especially on the departures), but could have been worse too.

I think we got ourselves 2 starters (Theo and Bennacer). I would probably include Rebic in that, so that's 3 starters. Can't ask for much more then that and anything more then that would have been too disruptive anyway.

Ultimately, I think the fact that Suso stayed changed the market. I think we were ready to sell him for 30-35mil, but obviously no such offers came. Therefore we could not go and splash big cash on another attacking midfielder. It's fine though. Suso has 2-3 excellent months in him, and when he goes to his shit form, like usual, we actually have the players to replace him this time.

Having Bonaventura back will be big. Having Paqueta and Piatek for the full season will be huge as well.

All in all, I think we have improved the starting 11 but even more importantly, we have improved the squad in general in terms of depth and quality.

I wanted a big CM player. A technical monster to control the games for us. It didn't happen, but it was always going to be difficult when not in the CL and under FFP scrutiny. These players cost a ton of money, so I get it. Hopefully Bennacer will be huge for us. We can work on another CM player once we get into the CL.
