RE: Summer mercato 2012 - BINHO - 07-13-2012 this is a jOKE! Thiago Silva is with his NT. He is very nervous because of all that situation and he would have admitted his disappointement to an ex-partner for being treated like an object : firstly sold to Paris, then retired from the mercato and linked with the Rossoneri thanks to a longer and more expensive contract, and now again to be sold. Thiago is very irritated by this situation because he doesn't want to be seen as a mercenary. Too late boy !! If he didn't want to be seen as a mercenary, he should have refused from the start the offer of PSG, ask for a new contract eventually to Milan before negotiating with PSG, and once he would have got what he wanted, he would just stop any negotiations between clubs by telling Galliani that it's useless to try to sell him as he won't leave and will respect his contract. This way, Galliani would have had to shut his mouth, stop his comments and find someone else to sell, Thiago Silva would have been seen as a hero by the fans, and the fans would have been happy to see Thiago Silva in the team. If you read the report, Thiago Silva isn't angry because he could leave Milan but only because his image could be deteriorated ... When you want your image to keep being good, don't tell you would like to be like Baresi or Maldini in Milan to leave a few days after !! RE: Summer mercato 2012 - Gio-mania - 07-13-2012 Spot on Geo. You don't want to look like a mercenary? Reject the offer then. Milan seem (emphasis on "seem") to be treating him like a postal package but at any moment he could stop them and say "No, I don't want to go to PSG" (assuming of course the contract wasn't already signed and binding since last month, as some suggest). In other news, Mesbah has reportedly rejected Torino and would prefer Marseille. RE: Summer mercato 2012 - Mathias - 07-13-2012 Balotelli in his home country with (according to mario) his favourite club... Not bad. Mario is growing towards his prime and started to grow professionally during this European Cup. Worth the gamble RE: Summer mercato 2012 - Ryo - 07-13-2012 (07-13-2012, 03:24 PM)Gio-mania Wrote: Spot on Geo. You don't want to look like a mercenary? Reject the offer then. Guess Ogbonna is off the menu then. In other news, we are receiving an additional 39.86 Mil Euros for our participation in last years CL. We actually earned more for our efforts than Madrid, even though we were kicked out earlier than they were. Who says CL doesn't pay? Problem is the money from Ibra and Thiago both probably wouldn't be enough to make the gamble. RE: Summer mercato 2012 - theaxeofpain - 07-13-2012 Now, I really appreciate what Galliani and Berlusconi have done for Milan over the years. But come on! Wtf are they actually doing? Is it so hard to convince Thiago Silva to stay? Is it so hard to at least ask them for more money? Pastore was sold for 40M, Thiago and Ibra for 60M is a joke. They all have to keep their mouth shut. Especially Thiago Silva, after expressing his desire to become like Maldini and Baresi. Oh well, they can do whatever the hell they want, after all it is just business, just that being some greedy filthy liars to the fans isn't the way to go. I much rather prefer 11 Nocerinos on the team. RE: Summer mercato 2012 - Hasan Rossonero - 07-13-2012 I don't think T. Silva wants to go to PSG. He may have sparked interest, and he may have used the situation, but ultimately we are selling him. I really don't think at his age, and the fact that PSG aren't major players yet, he wants to end up there. This is our owner's doing mostly. His wife (T. Silva's not Berlusconi's...for what Berlusconi's wife has had to say in the past read La Repubblica) has said as much on twitter apparently (we don't want to leave). We are beholden to Berlusconi and his political whims. It is the way it is. RE: Summer mercato 2012 - ElMago99 - 07-13-2012 Berlusconi will run for president in 2013. This was all a ploy to save money to campaign. RE: Summer mercato 2012 - ACMILAN1983 - 07-13-2012 I have to agree with Hasan here, this time I don't think Thiago Silva's necessarily agreed to a transfer, it doesn't make sense. If he was adamant on leaving he'd have left the first time and if he intended to leave, I doubt he'd have made his comments just a few days ago. After all, he will want to protect his image as mentioned, and this just makes him look like the ultimate mercenary. Add to this the fact that he's in London now and his agent in Brazil, it doesn't seem natural that they're not involved anymore in his transfer if they instigated any of this. Then there's this comment from his wife, which does seem somewhat genuine. I'm not saying he's totally innocent, but I am saying that I don't think it's him that's instigated the sale this time. As for Ibra, well, he's always been a mercenary and quite frankly probably is willing to go to PSG if he thinks the projects worth it and is paid well. However, I want to say I'm more than certain that it's Berlusconi and secondly Galliani that have set this all up, instigating this whole fuore from the beginning. Galliani set up the media with comments such as having to refuse insane offers at the start of the mercato and recently with his comment that both are Milan players for now but that could change by 31 August recently. |
