U wouldn't say that if u had just watched PSG's 1st match with Lorient....he was beyond horrible...
By the way, PSG were 0-2 down at HT and Zlatan got 2 goals in the 2nd to finish 2-2 (1st goal was a trademark Zlatan goal being the beast of a player that he is...so strong. 2nd was a penalty).
Anyway, what I wanted to share is that by the end of his 1st official match he was already scolding his teammates

What? Ligue 1 has started? Lucky French fans.

The Ibrahimovic news doesn't sound surprising. He is just doing what he was/is/will be good at: scoring goals, and crapping on teammates. Big Grin

Actually Fiorentina and Roma are having a very busy campaign in and out but it looks like both are doing well and should be interesting to watch next year...and if Roma manages to convince Galliani to exchange Borriello with Cassano then that would be a great piece of business .....for them

Yeah what I meant was that we are no longer an elite club in the Serie A. We have a squad that's slightly above average in quality, but nowhere good enough to challenge for titles, and we're operating on a very tight budget with no chance of signing the players we need to make that final leap in quality. In addition, our best players all want to leave because they see the club as lacking in ambition and don't want waste their time on a project that's going nowhere when they can fight for trophies elsewhere. So... Milan now has more in common with Fiorentina, Udinese, Lazio, etc., than Juve or even Inter. Berlusconi truly broke the club's back this summer. It's an incredibly depressing realization to make, but it's true. Of all years to not invest in the team, it had to happen when we needed replacements for all the veterans that left or retired. And then he went and sold our two best players instead.

Back after a vacation and already like what I am reading. Mexes wants to leave, sell him asap, as he is way overpaid and overrated.
Actually saw the Real Milan game live. Honestly, I know it is friendly and all but Milan players are all pretty much a level or two below Real.
Honestly, I can see Pato having a great season as long as he stays healthy b/c Milan will pretty much play a counter attack game with long ball to Pato and hope he does his magic as I really can't see how this Milan team can play with the big boys in Europe or even in Serie A.

Let's try to stay positive. Pato may end up spending most of his time injured, but we really have nobody (I REPEAT, NOBODY) else to rely on in the new season. It is not like we have any other valid option there. Confused

Every Milan fan better pray hard that our ducky stays healthy.

To say we can't compete in europe i understand.. But to say we can't compete in seria a is foolish.

Roma brought in Destro, Nicola Lopez, Dodo, Balzaretti
Merda brought in Marigia, Silvestre, Benassi, Mudingayi
Fiorentina brought in Viviano, Gonzalo Rodriguez, Aquilani and Della Rocca
Juve and Lazio have squads that will only improve in time
Even without Lavezzi, Napoli still look like a force to be rekoned with.

How many points did we take off of the above teams last season with our Old Guard and Superstars present?

Lazio (1 Loss, 1 Draw - Ibra and Cassano goal)
Napoli (1 Loss, 1 Draw - T. Silva Clean Sheet)
Fiorentina (1 Loss, 1 Draw - T. Silva Clean Sheet)
Juve (1 Loss, 1 Draw)
Merda (2 Losses)
Roma (2 wins - 2-1 and 3-2 with Ibra scoring a brace in both matches)

10 Points out of a total 36 up for grabs.

How many do you think we can get from them with our depleted squad this coming season?

We threw out Zambrotta, Seedorf, Nesta, Gattuso, Van Bommel, Inzaghi, Merkel, Aquilani, T. Silva, Ibrahimovic. 10 Quality players shipped out.

We brought in Traore, Montolivo, Constant, Acerbi, Zapata, and brought back Vila (who, still, by the way has no squad number). Of the above, only Monty has truly impressed.

One (maybe two with Zapata) quality signing to make up for the loss of 10?

A host of n'er do wells in Bone(head)ra, Mexes, Antonini, Mess-BAH, an overage Yepes in defense.

A major drop in already lacking quality in midfield on the bench (Still consider Monty,Noce,Prince a decent starting lineup)

An injury prone Star (Pato), a striker who's unhappy with the squad (Cassano), a striker who needs 1000000 chances to score one single goal (Binho), and a young up and coming striker who is easily pushed off the ball (SES).

Yes, I totally see us competing in Serie A this season Sagrin

LOL! I love this post. You are so right.

RE: Summer mercato 2012 - WCmilan - 08-12-2012

Guardiola looking for a house in Milano .. According to milannews he's in Milano .. If this is true I think stramaconi is safe at inter.. Allegri however, if this happens I'd be happy but we still need players.

And ^ do you forget we have robinho boateng montolivo abate Pato els Cassano .. Roma doesn't have players like that first off they are a crap team, Napoli lost lavezzi , inter is an olds age home? What place did all those teams finish last season? And btw maybe we won't beat them but 3\4 of points can be accumulated against the small teams..

You made a good and valid points ryo, but other then juve no one in Italy has a stronger team even if this is a bad team by our standards

To me it seems like you're praising other teams for signing players I wouldn't even want at Milan and then you're talking about Zambrotta, Seedorf, Inzaghi, Merkel, Gattuso, Van Bommel, Aquilani like they were superstars that we now don't have anymore. These players offered close to nothing to our team last season and it changes nothing.

Of course, right now we're not the team we used to be. I don't disagree with that. Still, I think it's only Juve that looks a bit out of reach in Serie A at the moment. And with a couple more decent signings and a bit of luck regarding injuries I think it could be quite ok. For Serie A that is, CL is another matter.
