First game of 2021 calendar year.
Hernandez is suspended due to yellow accumulation. Ibra, Bennacer, Gabbia and Kjaer on injury list. Kjaer closest to returning.
Benevento have lost 1 time in last 7. Beat Fiorentina, tied Lazio and Juventus in that span.

But, when saying Benevento, some bad thoughts coming to my mind.
A GK, Brignolli , 90+4, header, goal, ....humiliation pops up in my head/...

They are decent going forward, but like Inzaghi when he was coaching Milan, big issues in defence. We should definitely continue or goals streak of two goals or more in a match. Maybe we reach Barcelonas record of 18 straight matches when we meet Juve. Would be great

But Benevento scores also a lot....we have to be careful even more if Kjaer isn't back for the tie

High press. Kalulu has speed to make up ground and teams have trouble breaking out of the press without multiple technically gifted players who can make and receive long passes. This is how we should break down the small guys.

Pippo has done a good job with Benevento. They will try to counter-attack. Glik marshal's the defence well, similar to Kjaer does for us.
We all love Pippo, but I hope he is on the losing end this game.

Even if we lose couple of point to Pippo I wont have any regrets. Its Pippo for god sake, he has given so much for this team.

Nahh....dropping points vs Verona and especially Parma and Genoa was enough. We need to rack up points vs these smaller teams. So much emphasis is put on the "big" games, and rightfully so as they a huge for confidence and mentality. But Benevento's 3 points are equal to Juventus's 3 points. Pippo already got his fix for the season by stealing points from Juventus so he should be happy with that.
