Diaz, Giroud, Tonali did very well.
Saelemaekers' work rate was very good. Theo was less random runs, more controlled in good way at the back too. Krunic better than his usual self.

All in all very good stuff.

Agree!

Many may see this Theo as a "worse" version....but today he played a true LB. Never left his side exposed, attacked when the chance presented itself, and was solid in his decision making throughout. This was a true LB performance, and I personally see it as progression, as improvement.

And abou Krunic.....I'm not convinced. I don't think he has the natural quality/ability to stand out when things get tough. But today, he did well and did great with anything that was in his control. There was little pressure. There was little trouble. But you can only judge based on the game and the circumstances. And today, he was great. Controlled, simple, disciplined, no mistakes (maybe one on the goal as he let his man run through), etc. So, all I have to say is, good job!

First two games and the opponents offer so much space between the lines. Granted, this is partly because early season disorganization.

But, this could also be magic mike. He plays the ball so well that defenders can't keep a high line anymore forcing them deeper. This creates big pockets for Diaz to jump into to move the ball forward. Diaz for his part is controlling so well and much stronger.

The Donnarumma saga may be paying off. I think Donna would have saved the goal, but he doesn't offer us half of what Mike does with the ball at his feet. It will be a very interesting season.

Good performance all round against a very poor Cagliari team. Nice to see a thumping home win, need lots more of them as the home record was terrible last season.

But not impressed with what I have seen from Florenzi, looks a bit washed up and can see why Roma were keen to get rid.

I must say its a very good freekick. Hakan was supposed to be a free kick specialist when we bought him but he was disappointing most of the time. Now that he is gone and we have Tonali taking FK, we are going to score more from those.

Diaz got the chance to continue what he did from the end of last season because Hakan isn't here anymore.

Hakan is the reason we didn't won the scudetto.  Icon_lol2

Tonali was great all match. Him and Krunic were solid.
If Mario had been what Giroud is, last season we would have won the Scudetto, simple as that.

Who is Mario?
