Well, Gordon Singer of Elliott is apparently lined up to join our board any week now and they've officially decided to keep Milan. Gordon has grown attached according to a recent interview with him, he's been attending Milan charity events etc.

He also did say they are proceeding with or with out Merda who has not committed the funds to the project. Scaroni confirmed that Merda would have up until spring 2022 to confirm their involvement as that is when digging/prep work is expected to start and they expect it to be completed by 2024.

Public interest was approved by Milan city council, one step closer to start building. From the two designs in the running "The Cathedral" seems favoured

AC Milan and FC Internazionale Milano have announced that Populous' project - named "The Cathedral" - has been selected for their new stadium. The next weeks will be dedicated to finalising the objectives and development process of Milan's New Stadium.

Glad that one was the design thhey selected and glad it's finally getting close to being worked on.

Rumours wont be done till 2027 though so have some time to go for that.
That being said... assuming that figure is to have it fully completed. there would be a process of building the new one... playing in that. knocking down the old one and then rebuilding the surrounding area

I share that sentiment too. I guess that will never happen now.
