Summer transfer window 2017
Aubameyang remains top choice for me and it's very unlikely to change. I don't count CR7, I don't think it's feasible for a number of reasons.

We need experience up front rather than prospects now imo. I like getting talented players, but just as Bonucci has been brought to add leadership at the back and Biglia the same in the middle, we need someone who provides confidence and takes on responsibility up front. That experience is vital to allowing younger talents to grow in peace, especially when our side is being built around a group of under 23s.

Aubameyang offers quality and a level of guarantees, but in addition him coming would be a massive marketing boost, meaning there's a little less pressure on the likes of Andre Silva for example (and if you look at some of the criticism Silva got after Craiova on R&B, he needs it).

Diego Costa would come with a similar sort of expectation, though obviously is quite a different player. However, again his experience, status and age make him a solid candidate.

Another link I've seen today is Cavani, who I would love if Auba's not possible. I think despite some of his misses, he's proven a top level striker and is underrated. Since he went to Napoli (2010) he's never had a season where he's failed to get a goal to game ratio of at least 1:2 and most years it's pretty much 1:1. This also translates to Europe and despite reaching 30, last year was his best season to date in terms of scoring. I've been a fan of his for years and have said multiple times since his time in Napoli that I'd love him in Milan, so if he's potentially available with Neymar heading to PSG, I'm all for getting him.

On Belotti, he's younger and isn't as proven, so while I'd like him he'd be a much bigger risk. I'm open to him coming, but realistically I think spending anything over 50m for him is overspending (even 50m is too much tbh). I don't think Cairo's ready to budge though.

As for Keita, I'm not sure I necessarily believe we're after him, I think the ship has passed. I think Mirabelli said that his agent made unreasonable demands, which is why the deal couldn't happen. I don't think that would have changed much since unless they're getting desperate. On him preferring Juve I'm not really sure what to believe, as while it might be true, it seems they aren't closing other options with Inter in the running too. I think Andre Silva essentially took the spot in the squad that we had considered Keita for at the start of the summer. I wouldn't be surprised if the rumour has filtered into the press to try and push Juve to try and meet Lotito's asking price.
Do you guys think we'll have a problem paying 60-70 million for a new striker? We haven't still payed for Bonucci and Biglia (I think the bond would be deposited on August 11). Maybe that's why our mercato slowed down and we're trying to loan players with option to buy (Sanches).

We don't really have money issues. Management are making things slow down in order to get better deals/footholds for our top targets.
The closer to the start of the season, the more desperate teams will want their players/formations sorted for the season. Players who want to leave around those times normally cost a bit less since their clubs are being forced to part with them "on the account of the players wishes", and they would rather take less money and immediately search for a replacement asap instead.

Bonucci and Biglia are already our players. Their moves to Milan have already been registered with the FGIC and Serie A already has them down in our books. There is no rule that says that we cannot delay payment for players that we've bought, nor does later payment mean they aren't allowed to play for us either. I don't get the silly speculation as to the effects of these late payments so far. The only reason why we weren't playing them in the EL rounds is because we hadn't registered them down in the squad before the current round deadline. They'll be playing in the playoff rounds for sure because we've registered their names in the squad sheet for that.

As for the Sanches deal, Fassobelli are only negotiating for paying what is fair and working within their means. Think about it. We haven't managed to sell off Niang or Bacca. That means we've only got around 130M to work with to buy players for 3 or 4 positions. If we're allocating 80M for our Marquee striker, that gives us only 50M left for the other 3 positions. 10M for a backup CB, another 30M for a decent winger, and that leaves only 10M or so for our midfielder. If we manage to convince Bayern to loan him to us so that we can buy him in two years, that would be perfect for our budget. If not, unless China gives us more money (unlikely), we're going to have to shirk other positions in terms of quality players...

Official : Ely is an Alaves player, it's a transfer (4 year contract), not a loan.

One should not speak ill of the dead.
So stop laughing at Juventus !
Fassone during his press conference said that we would have a new sponsor last week but nothing were announced.

We got 3m plus 30% sell-on fee for FODrigo Ely! Incredible business!

That's a good deal for Ely. Probably more than we all hoped for.

About Cavani.....I don't think there is a chance of him leaving. What is the point of signing Neymar for 222mil if you are going to lose the guy that scored 49 goals last season in the process? I don't think PSG is that dumb.

Having said that...they WILL sell someone, so keep an eye on someone like Di Maria (Mendes client) and Lucas Moura.
