Seriously though, why wingers, even if they are good ones. This fascination with modern systems is getting us nowhere. Not saying Biglia is great but there is support for CDs in there and then Bennacer can move the ball forward with wide and central options. Theo and whoever the RB is can support or stay a bit further back too.

Bennacer will be sooo much more dangerous a little further forward. In the area where Paqueta/Hakan are playing for example.
For some reason, no coach will drop Hakan and/or Kessie. Watching Kessie attempt to pass the ball is painful. But if Pioli won't drop him, then just drop Hakan and play Bennacer further forward with Biglia stepping in as the other holding mid alongside Kessie. No matter what, Bennacer has to play. He will get better and better with more game time as his confidence grows. He adds something to this team that we haven't had in a long time. Either way. Good win. We should have done better with some of our chances in the 2nd half. We didn't create a ton, but were in control of the game and gave away very little. We get the final ball wrong too many times. I don't know of it's nervousness or what, but it has to get better. We move the ball vertically quick. We bring it to the final 3rd with purpose, and then get it wrong in the final 3rd. Hopefully that improves. Beating Lazio over the weekend will do wonders for confidence.
