An update for Final Fantasy XV has arrived and I know Mystik especially will be interested in this one, as it outlines some basic combat controls:

And a new video full of gameplay has come out (note: the gameplay in the video starts around 34mins):

I'm really interested in the mechanics, as the whole idea of having an option on how you play is really ambitious. Just a basic example, you can either hold down the attack button and let the game control combos and attacks, or you can repeatedly press the attack button to time your own attacks.
What interests me is the possibility of playing the game in 2 distinct ways using this, as holding down the button means that you'll probably have less control of your moves, but it gives you time to focus on your overall strategy in combat, while the hitting the button repeatedly might mean that you will have to concentrate on your combat at that moment in time, but you can achieve more damage using skill. At least that's what I'd hope.
Also, I love how Square have made efforts to engage fans, either by regularly giving these updates on the game or developer diaries with key people on the project. It's a massive improvement from even about year ago when Square was essentially silent on the game other than announcing it's now FF15 and not FFV13. It's something I wish Milan would do much better.
