Damn I'm not even old but when we start signing players born in 1996 you really start contemplating what you've accomplished in life. I might have a heart attack when we sign a player born in the 2000s Grinundwech

Welcome!

Wait, are you hinting that Reza is old then?

I'm looking forward to seeing Jose Mauri, his comments have been of a guy who seems really kind of down to earth and modest, which is rare these days.

If he is indeed down to earth and modest, with his potential, we have got ourselves something special for the future.
He reminds me of a young Vidal, the way he plays tbh.

Turned down call from Italy U-20 team but wants to wait and see if Argentina will call him. Sidenote, we should really send him out on loan during the winter transfer window because there's no point for him to just sit on our bench at this critical point in his career.

Quote:Milan midfielder Jose Mauri’s decision to turn down a call from Italy to wait for Argentina is “to be respected.”

The 19-year-old has been in Italy since 2013, when he played for the Parma youth academy and became a regular in their squad last season.

With the club’s bankruptcy, he joined Milan as a free agent, but is yet to feature for his new club.

This week Mauri received a call to play for the Italy Under-20 squad, but turned it down, as he wants to wait for Argentina.

“Jose Mauri is a good kid and a fine player,” noted Italy Under-21 Coach Gigi Di Biagio.

“By choosing not to accept the Under-20 call, he made a decision that is to be respected. He had been sent to the Under-20s so he could play a little, seeing as he never plays for Milan.

“Obviously if he feels Argentinean today then he won’t feel Italian in a month, so I don’t think we’ll try to call him any time soon.”

Is that Di Biagio's nice way to say "I will never call you up now"? Big Grin

Di Biagio.... Wasn't he the one that kicked the penalty to the crossbar against France in 1998? Sad memory... Sad
