Right, so yesterday evening was the Leicester celebrations for the team, with a parade through the city eventually ending at Victoria Park. Obviously, I didn't hesitate to join in the celebrations and went there straight after work, finishing slightly early to drive down to the city. Initially I thought I'd have to turn around, as traffic seemed insane and I figured I'd have no chance in getting a parking spot. Even the shuttle bus park and ride service from just outside of the city was full (never seen that happen). Lucky for me, I got a space a couple of miles away from the city centre, so walked in once parking up.
The celebrations were great, close to 250,000 people according to the BBC, people of all ages and so many families. The amazing thing was there wasn't a hint of trouble while I was there, most enjoying the fun and the sun. One of the coolest things was I saw Steve Walsh giving an interview to the press. That was cool as he was captain of the side back when I started following more closely them back in the early 90s. I was hoping to see Julian Joachim who was my favourite player back then, but no luck.
I might post a few pictures if I decide to upload any online, though tbh there's already a load online of it all, so I probably won't have much to show that's any different.
