If AC Milan can't beat AS Roma, then maybe ACM doesn't deserve the Scudetto or it could be a repeat of 2004 win when ACM confirmed their position by beating AS Roma at the Olympico. But then again then ACM had a certain English loving Ukranian who was devastating, with an amazing Brazilian & now its has a former Inter-Juve player called Ibrahimovic & a duck who is hot and cold

disagree with you there. even if we win this match we could lose against roma or udinese.
Am I the only one who thinks there is a conspiracy here? Over the last couple of weeks, Milan gets the short end of the stick from the refrees pretty much every time. Inter, on the other hand, always gets the benefit of the doubt. I think somebody is trying to make the Serie A title race more interesting than it actually is and put more weight ont he Derby.
I really don't think there is some sort of conspiracy. At least I hope so. That would be even more devastating than Calciopoli for Italian football, and nobody wants that.

Let's not mull over too much about what's going on behind the curtain. There was a call for handling offence with Pazzini's goal last night but didn't Robinho's goal two or three weeks ago deservedly raised the same suspicion too?
I remember last season we were accused of receiving so many penalties but one cannot argue that we attacked like hell last season with the 4-2-fantasista scheme. The similar thing, I think, can be said about Inter lately, and it's no coincidence that the mastermind behind is the same person.
Inter has been playing to their strength (which is their attacking department) on the 2nd part of the season, fully knowing that they have no other option if they're to catch us up. They conceeded a lot in the process but it's an inherent risk with this approach.
On the other side, we stick to the old 3 DMs tactic two or three times too many. We're becoming predictable. Bear with me once again with this cautious-bordering-on-cowardice criticism on Allegri, guys, but I admire his all-out approach on our 2nd leg against Spurs. We didn't qualify alright but I doubt any of us here complained about our play. I didn't, because for this one instance, Allegri showed that if he wanted to, he too can came up with a fresh, gusto line-up without sacrificing our defense line. Every coach has their plan A, it is on a game of this importance can we see the little difference that separates a top class coach from a decent one; a game where a slight change on game plan can be decisive. In short, a desperate measure for a desperate situation. This is the game where Mou put Eto'o on the wing, Fergie moved Ronaldo to the center and Rooney on the left.
Now fast forward to our last game. It's almost of the same magnitude. Palermo lost 5 games on a trot, but playing at home and with players they have, they're bound to attack. Now, we lost our main CF, but we have much more option in midfield compares to the UCL game. We failed to extend the lead before, that sucks, but hey, now we have another chance to redeem ourselves and more importantly, to keep the distance before the derby. Sounds like the exact moment for a slight yet inspired change, right? WRONG!
It's a whole lot worse if your approach to the game is questionable from the start because then you can only have 3 players to hopefully change the game. Then came the injuries (first Janku, and then Pato) and you're left with even less and less option.
Now the derby might seem like another shot, so which side of Allegri will we see? I'm afraid that, even if it's the risk-taking one we witnessed on the game against Spurs, he just can't afford it what with Pato's injury and Ibra's absence.

This will be a tough match. As Inter is really firing on all cylinders at the moment. While Milan might be without Ibra and Pato. But don't worry, as Allegri will once again rely on Slowdorf to save the day. Have you notice that opposing teams tend to not tackle Slowdorf too hard in games, simply b/c of the following reasons: 1. They don't need to as they can easily take the ball away from him 2. They can just out walk him any day 3. Lastly, they don't want to injure him as that would mean Allegri will actually have to sub in a REAL FOOTBALLER to play in his position.

pato will be back.why are you writing as if he will not make the game?
I'm pleased to see Rino and Abate's comments today about where we need to improve. Rino said we need to be more ruthless and Abate saying we need to be meaner. The general feeling seems to be that we need to be more aggressive and clinical in games, which given that both players came out with such similar comments, suggests that this is what Allegri is trying to drill into the team.
It seems obvious, but our mentality and motivation is a huge factor in our success this season. Since the loss against Spurs the team seems to have lost it's edge a little which I feel has impacted recent results. Hopefully, within the next week or two we'll see this edge returning to our side.
The derby will take place in 14 days while he's expected to be sidelined for 10 days so even if he makes it, I think it will be by the skin of teeth. Plus, don't forget that often times our players get injured again right when they're considered to be fit again, and Pato is one of this kind.
I'll leave you to decide the chances of him being 100% fit next fortnight (so he can start, and thus enabling Allegri to play an all-out tactic on this decisive game similar to the one against Spurs if the coach chooses so), or only fit enough to start from the bench (therefore giving all the more reason for Allegri to play safe since we basically have no other CF left).
