In all cases bar 2, Sporting was given money for the players. Most clubs wanted a peaceful resolution.

The contract with Lille mist have been deposited theough all the correct channels otherwise he would have never been able to play there. We bought the player from Lille, so really, we have nothing to do with that dispute. If FIFA decides to rule for Sporting, then it will be Lille that will have to give them part of the transfer fee that they just got from us. We won't have anything to do with that.
At least that's what makes sense to me...
Pretty much. The issue is he rescinded his contract without cause. not an issue for us, but will be for Lille who will likely will have to give a large % of the transfer to Sporting.
using Gelson MArtins as an example.
Atletico were playing hard ball trying to get away with paying anything. Then decided to sell the player so made a deal to sell Vietto for 7.5m as well as give 22m for Gelson.
If it was taken further, there is the possibility that the clubs would need to pay the release clause of the player. Because Gelson's was 60m, clearly Atletico decided that striking a deal and selling him was a better option.
For the record Leao's clause was 35m
