RE: Champions League
In 1998, I wasn't interested by football yet, so I supported more or less France as it was "at home" ... The Italy vs France game, I didn't care about the winner, actually, at that time, I hoped one of these two teams would win.

In 2000, it was different, I was 100% for Italy during the whole competition (I was very unhappy after the final) ... And never changed my mind since that time. When France and Italy play at the same time, I watch Italy, not France.

One should not speak ill of the dead.
So stop laughing at ... Us ?

May I ask why is that?

Because a huge number of people in my country (Bosnia) feels the same way about our neighbouring countries, and I can't understand it Smile

Yea I find that hard to understand as well. I could never support another country over my home country. Of course I support Italy because my little island has 0.00005% chance of actually making it to the World Cup, but if we EVER do..I'll definitely be supporting my island Big Grin

Siamo a posto cosi.

I'm from America, but I 100% root for Italy, where my Grandparents are from.

Extra time in London, Napoli have the same defending high balls and set pieces we are familiar with. I think Luiz has improved a lot, at least this game.

Horrible feeling.

That was vital for Italy. Napoli should have gotten through, but they were torn apart. As it stands, there is a very good chance only one Italian team will be in Europe come Thursday night.

I feel bad for Italy too, but as long as that only one Italian team does well, I would be very happy. Smile

RE: Champions League
I guess this proves that you need a balanced team to get far in the Champions League, Napoli have one of the best attacks but their defense is very mediocre. Perhaps next season they can add a few more quality players and be more competitive. Also playing such an attacking formation meant they would always be somewhat imbalance and exposed to crosses and balanced wide play.
