Even if the referee could award something in that situation, that was a foul BY Balotelli, because he had his hands all over Siena player. In a match plagued by refereeing errors I don't think anyone should complain about the result, regardless if it was there team who won or not. For example, when ELS was whistled offside and was 1 on 1 against the GK, that was clearly not offside from my memory. Also, there were a few half challenges that Siena committed against Balotelli as well that could have been awarded as penalties for us. Then, we get a laughable penalty and Siena didn't for the foul committed by Ambro in the box. To many errors for people to point fingers at us (referring to Fio). And I'm to lazy to go back and quote, but Siregar made a very good point on the previous page. We deserve CL much more than Fio and I also think we'll almost guarantee better results in CL than fio. First off, had we not started the season by losing like 5 out of 7 games (just an estimate because I completely forget), we wouldn't have only finished 2nd/3rd by a distance but we could have also won the scudetto. Next, Fio was consistent all season and didn't have to suffer what we did in the beginning. Next off, from after the christmas break when we finally had our sh!t together, I believe we got the most points out of every team in seria a. SO, fiorentina needs to shut up.. they got me enraged by some of their stupid comments, specifically some of the players.

Instead of complaining about the mistakes most of the refs do and say they wanted to help Milan (or any other club), they should complain about the quality of these refs, because it's a weird thing, but the current referees are pretty bad in Italy, but also in all other European countries nowadays since the "old generation" left ...
One should not speak ill of the dead.
So stop laughing at Juventus !

There's two things that happened in that game. Refereeing incompetence and the good old "big team bias" where big teams tend to be bailed out by refs when they need it most. Happens to Barcelona all the time to the point where people everywhere (including on this board) call them Uefalona. Real Madrid got that Nani red card vs United. Dortmund v Malaga..terrible. We also got saved by refs a couple times late on this season as well. Fiorentina's only crime was not being named "Juventus".
Side note: balo flops way too much for a big guy and he's lucky he gets half those calls.
Siamo a posto cosi.

I agree that Balotelli falls over a lot on many challenges, even if they are mostly dives.. Although, remember that he gets attacked by a swarm of players whenever he has the ball and he's taken a lot of nasty challenges since coming to Italy. Italy, unlike many other countries has a different defensive mind set ; legs or the ball.
