Could you just change this thread to "Italian National Team" or something of the sort? We could just continue to use this one as the official thread.

Really sad to hear about Rossi..the guy can't catch a break..
Siamo a posto cosi.

Conte really does seem to be a great motivator. The team looked a lot hungrier and energetic compared to just a couple of months ago.

Poor Rossi. He had what it takes to be amongst the best in the world, but he really has the worst luck when it comes to injuries.

Is it not to fast to say the team looked hungrier and energetic due to Conte's influence? Their silly result last WC could play big role in changing their mentality and others. If someone compare how the team reacted in overall games under Prandelli (including how they played in European Cup last 2012) and after enough games under Conte, than we might see if Conte is great motivator.

That's a good point. It's still quite early in his reign (not to mention that red card), so we'll have to see how he does in actual competitive tournaments.

Some good moments but players like the starting 11 are unlikely to ever be world beaters.

Well that's where Italy are at now. I think they had a really good game. Tactics still need to be tweaked though.

You are right, Conte needs times with a new set of players and starting from a low. In that sense it was actually a good game.
