Summer mercato 2015
Entering this mercato, we had holes everywhere on the team. I think we have done an adequate job filling a lot of these holes, but at the end of the day, Rome was not built in a day. Even if we want to spend 200M, there simply aren't that many high quality players available in one given summer. I am ok with us getting Romagnoli, Ibra and a midfielder like Witsel and call it a day. I would call it a major success even. The rest of the issues, we can address in future mercatos, provided that we have money at that point too, of course.
Apparently, we are abandoning our plan to build the new stadium next to Casa Milan due to high cost. I guess it never occured to anyone that we actually needed to pay money to build a stadium, lol. Classic Milan.

Here you go.
I was under the impression that the cost of the land was known and was settled before the foundation accepted the Milan stadium plan. The foundation's decision last month was delayed partly because of this. Milan agreed an amount and the foundation accepted Milan's plan.
Well, normally, you would think a company would do its due diligence before submitting the bid and committing itself to a project. That includes estimating the cost, designing the business plan, figuring out the financing, making sure all the legal issues are cleared and many other issues related to building this stadium. Milan, apparently, forgot to do the money part and are basically now having buyer's remorse seeing how the cost of the project is high. Not surprisingly, Fininvest is the driving force behind this. Our beloved team is doing us proud again.

To be honest, I actually always thought this stadium thing could be problematic. I read somewhere that part of the reason Bee is paying such a high price for the team is because he is buying the team AND the stadium as a combo. In essence, Fininvest is going to build the stadium, and then sell it and the team for 1 billion to Bee. That is all fine and good, except for one thing. Since Fininvest is selling the stadium almost immediately after building it, why would they want to spend a lot of money on this? They are most likely going to build the cheapest stadium possible, and then sell it for the same price to maximize their profit margin on this. Nobody would spend a few thousand dollars fixing their old car only to sell it to someone next week. This stadium, in many ways, is the lifeline for this team in the foreseeable future. And I personally do not trust Fininvest and all of their money grabbing executives one bit when it comes to it.
Apparently Gabbiadini's agent offered him to us. That's kind of player I would take in a heartbeat. Young, fast, good skill, has good movement and can finish too. If you could fix his defensive workrate he would be great. get rid of cerci and bring in Gabbiadini.

IMO,should buy these 2 players..Milan Desperately need Quality Midfields

should Spend 20M for Mascherano rather than Bertolacci
and 30M+10M for Gotze rather than Romagnoli
I'd say Moutinho!
+ ibra and romagnoli

Here's a slightly different view regarding the stadium plans.

"Milan have requested more information about the subterranean landscape of Portello before committing to building their new stadium there."
