Summer mercato 2015
He is a possibility for next January, next Summer, and so on...
B- rating for me.

I don't think Witsel's arrival would have solved all our problems. There is also a good chance he would have taken a while to settle. It is disappointing to see us not strengthen significantly in mf, but...

With a new team, we have a lot of "ifs" this season. Remember that Roma had a good, strong nucleus upon which to build. All the other teams who have had several changes are unknown quantities right now, as Juve's and Inter's struggles in the first two games prove.

It is now up to Mihajlovic to invent a system that capitalizes on our strengths and minimizes our weaknesses--in all areas of the field. It's possible, and if that means playing more men in midfield, recuperating Monto as best as possible, playing Honda somewhere else, then so be it.

Russian season finishes at the end of the year, right?
MILAN! MILAN! SOLO CON TE!
MILAN! MILAN! SEMPRE PER TE!

Not sure, but there is a gap in the fixture list from December 1st to March 4th. Witsel's contract ends on June 30th 2017...

No. Since last(or one before) season it's winter/spring like other european leagues.
Avaiting for arrival of exorcist into our boardroom.
Thanks MAEV for the praise. I do try to be as analytical as possible when posting (though some teams/players will get the best of me at times).

I believe that our best acquisitions in the past 10 or so years were made during the winter Mercato (i.e. Pato, Ronaldo and Thiago Silva).

That said, I believe we're going to be observing the leagues like mad this next three months to look for the midfielders that we need. I don't believe our investments this summer are a one off. I'm more willing to bet that we're doing what Chelsea and PSG did when they first had their investment injections, that being to make purchases all over to improve the team as a whole, whilst keeping faith in certain areas/players and making further adjustments in later markets.

The only problem we had with following this method is those fuckers B & G decided to keep faith in the worst part of the pitch, our Italian based midfield. Once results start showing that our midfield cannot be sustained like so, I believe we will make adjustments.

I just hope that we can make said adjustments in time so that we can actually stay fighting for European spots.

Also, unless Witsel himself issues another "Come get me" plea, I don't see us going for him again until next summer, when he will have just one year left on his contract. More likely than not, we're going to go for other less expensive options that will impress in the next three months.

At the start of summer we thought they already have a good transfer strategy to make Milan a CL spot contender again. Now we realised that they didn't, it simply shows by Galliani trying to sign some shit midfielders on the last day. Expecting them to suddenly work like a normal management in the coming months is really just dreaming.
No winter mercato thread yet, so posting this here. Witsel in January?
