I'm feeling terrible because I missed the game! Please someone tell me how did they do? Is this there best performance this season so far?
How did Coloccini do? How was his marking and defence? Is he worth of a Rossoneri shirt? How did Brocchi do? How bout RUI COSTA?! How did he do in Seedorf's position? I really would love to see Pirlo - Kaka - Rui all play at once, they are really good together! How bout Kaladze? I heard he wasnt that good as he missed many chances before actually scoring? How bout Kaka? And why didnt Sheva score? :S
Did we have possession all game? Plz someone update me asap!!
Calm down, man, or you're going to have a heartattack ;)

Brocchi and Coloccini very good, despite the argentinian is a bit slow against pacey opposers, rui fairly good, kaladze good performance, not that impressing if you ask me but encouraging for the future, kaką slighly worse than against inter (easy, there he played a cracking game) but hit the post with a freat shoot from 30 meters, sheva bad, looks tired
great, we won!! but I couldn't see the match. TV station here only broadcasted weekend matches..
maybe they didn't know yet that Serie A now have 20 teams then there are some midweek fixtures. :D

since when do u get three points for a carling cup win?
you see, this is what man u supporters are like, no idea about football at all :nana: :nana: :nana: :nana: :nana: :nana:
Didn't see the match, but I did follow it online from my office, I did celebrate all goals, especially the first one...those around me in the office didn't care much, weeks ago they would look at me and ask: "Have you gone mad?".....now they just say to themselves: "Must be his team playing again" :D :D :D ....well, they better get used to it, we are playing Barca next Tuesday.....and once again I will be stuck in my office, duh :D
For what I read looks like our defense was great once again (well, what do u expect with San Paolo and San Billy defending). I also heard Pirlo made some great passing and Brocchi had a good match too...wow. Congrats to the goalscorers, nice to see Kakha and Sergio scoring!....Sheva is saving his goals for Samp, its ok :D
3-0!
3 points!
3 different "assist-ants"!
3 new scorers opening their accounts!
3rd consecutive clean sheet in Serie A!
What else can I say? :delol:
Brocchi is starting to prove that he is a great backup for Gattuso, and Coloccini finally makes his Serie A debut.
Our boys have done their part, now it's up to Peter Pan and The Lost Boys to spank the old lady's arse at her own backyard! Wooooo.....

i've caught the match....personally...coluccini was really shaky in the 1st half...1st he couldnt match the pace of the strikers...secondly his tackle wasnt good enuff to dispossess on a few occassion...n thirdly..he loves to push up till the midfield line to mark his man while exposing our backline :p231: ..atalanta knew this n almost punished us @ the end of the 1st half when a long ball was 'grenaded' to Budan whose aerial ability was amazing but Dida was there to save the day with a timely right dive to parry the ball away @ close range...however when Costacurta came for Cafu...Colu's switch to the right side proved effective as our central D (billy and Paolo) was stablised and Colu is able to straut his stuff..running along the right side without needing to worry bout the defence..he did much better when Billy came on...
Kala and cafu were both doing well...providing the necessary offensive crosses that created some panic in the atalanta defence..Maldini also did very well...doing the cover-up which Coluccini left wide open...
In midfield, Pirlo, Brocchi, Rui, Ambro were all worthy of their place in that match...Pirlo assisted the 1st goal..a thru pass catching tomasson just onside to slot it pass :hah2: Taibi
Brocchi was like our midfield general..very hard-working...aggressive..almost a Gattuso double on that day :D
Rui was performing as usual...good :D ...did a few fancy tricks with kaka...both of them connected really well in midfield...and he oso assisted the 3rd goal...lauching a long ball from half court to catch serginho on the break to seal the final blow to Atalanta. :rocky:
Ambro was also far better than his performance during the Inter game...packing the midfield, allowing the Atalanta midfield no air to breathe..cutting off the passess for Pazzini and gang
Tomasson and Sheva were both trying to hard to gain the lead for Milan...a couple of wasted shots by Shev...especially in the 2nd half when an excellant pass by Kaka caught shev @ close range but blast it wide...like what Gio had said...must be tired...moreover he is not substituted for the match... :sob: Crespo should haf com'on and make a run @ the Atalanta defence IMO....
All in all..albeit a goal-less 1st half..there was alot of chances for milan and a few breaks for Atalanta...but the Atalanta defence finally gave way in the 2nd half...good effort for Atalanta by holding us goaless in the 1st half  ..but excellent performance by our 2nd string lads whom did not let us down
Ok we have done our part..lets hope Roma can do us the favour tonight!!
Now bring on the Catalans!!
btw..albertini was pretty quiet thruout the match... :guw:
Forza Milan!!!
And Bayman
what will you say about Pirlo's performance abou tthis match? Another 'one of out of a thousand' game that he performs?
The second goal was a real top class goal.
Three players combining well, Kaladze making a run into the box and scoring an easy goal. That is the way football should be played and this works against any opponent (bottom or top of table).
Pirlos first half performance was mediocre, second half good. But this was Atalanta for God's sake. He is relatively good vs. all smaller teams, but name me ONE big game where he played top class?
And these kind of long passes (1-0) only work against mediocre opponents, not vs. Real, Barca, Juve.
greta to see we won but there was only one match we should keep doing the same to defend our trophy
!Forza Rossoneri!

vs Depo 4-1
Ok, I know you'll say, "That's the only big game"
and we'll let this argument drop. I'm not even going to argue with you anymore. Just go and look at those game when he doesn't play. Tell me when Milan has played ONE big game when he is not playing.

Milan - Real Madrid 1-0, can't get any bigger thatn that.
A classy performance against a back then absolute top team and holders of CL.
But you can't compare it like that as I don't want Pirlo out to be replaced by Ambrosini. There'd be a Maniche or Vicente instead.
but name me ONE big game where he played top class?

Deportivo twice. Lazio twice. Been really good in several of the wins against Roma. One of the best in the 2-1 against Juve. That is what I can remember, checked some old threads (god I loved some of those) and he didn't play against Real, but got good ratings against Dortmund too. He usually is one step better when we dominate possesion, which explains some of his best performances. The "8" performances in general is something we seldom see at all and from anyone.

Here I agree.

Hilarious stuff...
Sorry to go off-topic:
Did anyone realise that the use of smilies was very seldom in the olden days of MM? ;)
and also, I don't remember that Farinos being so wanted in Milan. What did he do back then? Please refresh my memory..
Maybe he was a good player in Champioship Manager/FIFA/PES.
Seemingly that is enough to be called a top player. See VanderVaart too.

Did Collocini use number 19 milan's jersey?
The ex Costacurta jersey.
OK, congratulation Collo !!
Just watched the goals. All three goals were classy - excellent stuff! Nice to see some offensive depth with 3 different scorers :D

Roma is so sh!t. Juve's up 2-0 :yuck:
Roma is so sh!t. Juve's up 2-0 :yuck:
disappointed too...
at least emerson got a red card, hope that he will get some good ban. :nunu: probably just one though. :yuck: let's see what capello will do without him. :hmm2:
Tyge are you sure there won't be any danish giant near the chicks? I met some danish guys this summer and the smallest was like Shevchenko ..in that case i would suggest not to pass with milan scarfs near interisti..at derbies we call eachother girls (when they pass with different scarfs around the stadium) ***** ***** ***** It's a milanese tradition wheter you like it or not
Danish giants? :ilol: Myself I ain't no big dude, I'm about 1.78 cm and quite slim to be honest :o I'll be going to Rome with about 20 school mates but I'm not sure yet who exactly'll be following us to Milan (myself, 2 chicks and another guy so far), we're thinking about renting a car to get there, probably cheaper that way, but we'll see.
About the tradition, don't worry about it, I ain't going to bring any of my scarfs nor shirts, better not run any risks with interisti who'll be pissed off about yet another defeat ;)
Btw., is there any chance you can help me purchasing the tickets on condition of me transfering the necessary cash to your account? I'd rather not count on the tickets of the black market this time around, too damn expensive. Are the tickets for San Siro clashes even up for sale in Torino?

Well, another great result. First half we weren't brilliant, but we still dominated while in the second half I can't remember much of anything from Atalanta.
The goals were excellent with each one demonstrating something about the side. The first showed the quality of our players' vision when using the ball. The second goal demonstrated the great passing movements of the side and the superb runs made by the players and the third goal was a great display of counter attacking football.
I think two things to note. One is that the team got another clean sheet and the other is I saw some sharp runs off the ball and better passing amongst our players.
I'm glad to see the squad players do well, although as others have mentioned Sheva looked tired. However, lets not forget the man also set up a goal ;)
FORZA JDT!
FORZA KALA!
FORZA SERGINHO!
FORZA MILAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Here I agree.

Hilarious stuff...
Of course todays transfer threads will be as "fun" in the future. To think that someone want Zickler in our teams, hilarious. That Bayern kept him that long on the other hand is probably more hilarious. They had Zickler which only skill was running fast and Jancker which only skill was strenght, what a pair that could be. Maybe they could gather 5 goals in a season together? :D

Valencia with their UCL wins where the rave at that time, their famous (was it 5-1?) win over Barcelona gave him and Gerrard (the now Barcelona Gerrard) a enormous reputation.
thing is that some fans always love to talk about "how we miss out on buying players", like we could buy everyone around...

And here is Kris's reply for me:
Pirlo created the goal (against Barca, yes it's Barca)
