This one is actually for those who come to the boards since 2001. Remember that year, when we started to built our spectacular team who brought many prices at home the following years...

It began when we did a great deal with Inter (Seedorf, Pirlo), signed Rui Costa, Pippo, and many more.

That was a great year for the forums, because we had a lot to talk about. Who could and mostly, who couldn't play together. For example Sheva-Pippo. We now are still debating if they can co-exist. Many of us stated why we had bought Rui Costa AND Pirlo. 2 Of the same.

Well, wednesday, against Atalanta took me by surprice. We played with Pirlo and Rui Costa (not that weird) but on top of that we played with a trequartista (Kaka) and 2!!! strikers (Sheva and Jon-Dahl) 5 offensive orientated players. Who could have imagined that 3 years ago? :rock3: :pp20:

Now I believe Carlo when we bought Rivaldo when he said Pirlo, Rui Costa and Rivaldo can play together. We thought it would be instead of 1 of the strikers, but if we now replace Rivaldo with Kaka, he did it.

I know it's not a good thing for every match, but I thought it was great to see, brought me back a lot of memories of debating in MM a couple of years ago.

Cheers. :respect:

Of course I remember all those debates, and also all the dream buys people have wanted over the years. (mostly their own favorite players so they could be on one squad :delol: ) I also recall during the past few years when Terim was coach and yes, that's the year we landed Rui Costa, and then Terim was "fired" in favor of Ancelotti.....and I don't think I'll ever forget Ancelotti whining that the team he had inherited wasn't the one HE wanted. As far as I was concerned then, he inherited a team most coaches would have killed to be in charge of! But right from the start he juggled this player with that player, and this is still going on. We're OVERLOADED with talent, and in the first half of the game vs Atalanta I got to thinking that with the talent we have we should be burying all of our opponents, so why wasn't it happening, why hasn't it been happening? Well, simply put, we're still being experiemented with--who's THE BEST to play with whom on what line? I think when that gets settled once and for all, we're going to be the goal scoring machine we look like on paper. I think too we started to see it in the second half of the Atalanta game!

You mentioned Rivaldo....that was one of those dream buys milanista were dreaming about for years, and then when it finally happened, I frankly can't think of a much better example of a superstar buy who was unable to fit in with a given squad. I've said it many times before and I will contiunue to say it--b/c we're starting to see the results--if we're patient, the quality of this squad will pay us handsomely!! But let's work with what we have NOW and stop dreaming of what could be better....b/c I don't think there can be anything any better!!!

Funny coincidence, since I looked over some old threads today. We must be the only team to have played 3 number 10s at the same time.

And people say we are not playing attacking football.

See? Our identity (as in Milan, but we can also apply it on ourselves) are so much shaped by bias and stereotype that you can't help, and even when you prove that you are not like what they think, they still think what they want to think.

Is pirlo considered No.10? Shall Ask Bayman for his humble opinion.

Is Kaká a number 10 then?

I dont really look to him as a playmaker. He's much more a 'Rivaldo'. I cant really describe that position.

I like Pirlo and all but Rui is one hell of a guy. He's simply divine.

Pirlo was 10 with U-21 Azzuri and in the last olympics.
