View Full Version : Juve pace worriess ancelotti
Football Italia
Milan boss Carlo Ancelotti admits that Juventus’ stunning start to the season has put his side under pressure.
"Seeing Juventus go so well does increase the heat on us," said the tactician whose side are already five points behind the Bianconeri.
"They have set off at quite a pace and that means that we must be alert for every single one of our games.
"However, I think that we are putting them under pressure too given our recent displays."
Juventus have dropped just two points so far this season and have won all of their Champions’ League games to date.
"I’m surprised by their consistency at both home and abroad," added the former Bianconeri boss. "But I’m convinced that we are still in with a chance, as are Inter."
The San Siro giants face Sampdoria on Saturday and the tactician expects a difficult encounter at the Stadio Marassi.
"Walter Novellino’s side is playing well right now as their win at Chievo on Wednesday illustrates," he added.
"Who will play? I will probably make a few changes to the side that beat Atalanta 3-0 and I think it is only right to do so.
"Shevchenko? He is a candidate to be rested even if I’m not saying whether he’ll do so tomorrow."
Two men who won’t be available are Pippo Inzaghi and Jaap Stam who are struggling with worrying injuries.

I'm with Carlo here, Juve have started the season in terrifying form and if it lasts, I can't see any other team winning the league. Fortunatly it may come as a blessing in disguise that it's now that they are beating everyone, they are likely to lose some games just as we should pickup form, I'd rather finish strongly than start strongly. Obviously if we don't pick up form and Juve keep marching on in this way they will win the scuedetto and you'd have to say deservedly so.
IMo Juve does the same **** as Rioma used to last season: they trashed everyone in their way and seem to be invincible but when they faced us their power vapour away... so there is no rigid base to fear them...
:mex:
So the Zebra started her run strongly, trying her best to escape from the Lions.... but, the Lions are right behind her, hungry, focused, determinate. they will not let go.... and when signs of tiredness will show up....
she's doomed.

Bah. Don't be so overconfident and don't underestimate Almighty Juventus.
Please don't reply anything horrible to my comment above :( let me enjoy my 2 seconds of pride here
Anyway, honestly I'm happy with Juve's start but it's too soon ... We Juventus fans won't be too arrogant yet as to say Juventus is 'invincible'.. we won't rest until the month of May ends. Hopefully, this season will be much better for both Milan, Inter and Juve (yeah I guess Roma can join too) than last season in Europe
Well, they are probably using some illegal drugs...
Can the man make up his mind??? For once?? this is the latest at football italia
Ancelotti: Forget Juve Saturday 30 October, 2004
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Carlo Ancelotti claims the key to maintaining concentration is to forget their Scudetto duel with the leaders, while Andriy Shevchenko is over the moon.
“Introducing Shevchenko was decisive,” admitted the Coach, “but the whole team played well. I don’t want to think about Juve’s pace, as all we have to do is try to win our own games rather than looking at what the others are doing.”
The Bianconeri play against Chievo tomorrow, but until that time the gap is whittled down to just two points.
“I am incredibly happy!” said match winner Shevchenko who scored less than 24 hours after the birth of his son, Jordan. “I’m glad that yesterday I had this wonderful experience and spoke to the Coach this morning, telling him I wanted to help Milan and maybe come on for the second half.”
The Ukrainian hitman barely slept and drove to Genoa this morning to take part in this match.
“These are three important points and round off two incredible days for me. We really wanted to stay as close to Juventus as possible leading up to the head to head confrontation, but all we must do is concentrate on winning every game.”
Now Sheva hopes to follow this up with another winning goal – this time against Barcelona on Tuesday evening.
“The Nou Camp is a beautiful Stadium and to score there and dedicate the goal to my son would be the best thing in the world.”
Milan Vice-President Adriano Galliani also revealed some intriguing background information to this result.
“I want to personally thank Sheva. I was with him yesterday evening and he was very worried, but I told him to relax, as he would be rested for the Sampdoria trip. He didn’t want to listen and said he wanted to play the last half-hour, score and dedicate the goal to his son. He kept his promise!”
i think juventus simply needs to lose to begin their losing streak. you can never estimate the almighty momentum. i am still wondering how come inter can get 7 draws out of a possible 9. :D it is kind of amazing. interista must be so pissed off. :hammer: who the hell is palamonti? at least i never heard of that name before.. :D
and by the way, very good post, inferno. :star:
thanks.... but just remember this(& its not like I think it will happen :fero: god forbid!).... in the nature.... in most of the chases.... the Zebra wins :o
all depends on HOW hungry, focused, UNITED and determinate.... the Lions realy ARE!
this is just the begging of the chase :firedev:
