it's better for dhorasoo to leave, but i think milan need to find another suitable player for this coming Jan...such as joaquin :firedev:

I don't know why did we buy him, he is good, but we already have good midfielders (Pirlo,Gattuso,Seedorf,Rui...) :)

Why replace someone who didn't play at all?? (a few minutes left behind in CL)Sounds stupid to me. A player who isn't used, is a player to much, so shouldn't be replaced, because the situation of Dhorasoo makes clear our squad is to big. Just get rid of a cost, no need to find replacement.

it is a shame he never got a chance but if he does leave it wont be a massive loss.

i know..it's 3 weeks that this rumour is going on and frankly i believe he has not convinced, so he doesn't play;

I don't know when Braida said that and ofcourse -as usual- they can say one thing and do another, but I think its pretty certain now that we will need to do a few things in January regarding the injury situation.

I do not comprehend why do we aquired d'horasoo???
Now we want to get rid of him??
Why everyting was done, I do not understand anything...

he might be useful in the coppa italia games. he did play well pre-season and i thought he would be a good addition to the squad. carletto should start to play him against the smaller sides - i am not sure why he is not even getting a look- in. he is a decent player. i think it has something to do with the fact that brocchi deserves his place on the field considering his decent games but still.

On what do you base your opinion on Dhorassoo? Ancelotti works with this guy every day!! He's the captain of our ship, so he must make the right choices. And I think he is better suited to judge if Dhorassoo is good enough to start then any member of this forum here.

If Carletti won't play a player, he will have a reason for that. He knows that at Milan he has to achieve succes, so he will always play the best team in his eyes at any day. Dhorassoo didn't fullfill the expectations, so he can leave if he wants to.

i think we should wait for our coppa italia campaign to start so we can use him and see if hes worth wearing this shirt then we could decide wether its better to start him or not.

we needed a quality midfielder, not a superstar. This years transfer campaign which looked so sensible and clever has turned into a disaster, one out of form striker who can't score, a defender in surgery and a useless midfielder.

Yet we do a lot better then Inter who had a splendid transfer campaign, as had Man U, Real Madrid and other Liverpools.

man u had a dire campaign. but that's another story. :D

I know what you mean, yuri. It does seem though our transfers in this season have made little impact, it's like we bought no one over summer this season.

Its a shame about Dhorasoo. I had high hopes for him and I'm guessing his problem has been adjusting to Milan (or Italy) rather than him lacking the ability for the side.

If he stays, then I hope him to have his chance to make an impact and if he leaves, I hope him the best in the future

D'horasoo didn't cost Milan much (transfer and wages). It was essentially a cheap longshot that didn't work out. No hard feelings on either side I am sure.

fans have criticised coaches decisions since forever. i am not the first. players do it all the time. silvio does it at least once a year. shevchenko did it after the barca game. of course carletto knows more about dhorasso than i do. i just voiced my opinion based on my years of being a soccer fan, watching soccer and coaching soccer. EXCUSE ME for having an opinion lol. gee.. people don't know how to use forums. criticising others for their opinions and asking "what qualifies you to say that" is ridiculous. I still maintain my opinion based on what i have seen of dhorasso. I do think that Milan need a deep squad to compete in 3 tournaments. Dhorasso would be perfect in the coppa. so sue me.

I get your point too. You're right when you say that it's as if we didn't buy anyone in the summer. Very true, but the arrivals may not have an impact in our starting 11 (yet), but they increase the competition for places, so it should work in favour of our team.

Nadir, you're right and are fully entitled to an own opinion. I won't argue anymore at your view on our players, because I fully disagree with you, so it wouldn't be of any use to discuss. IMO Carletti knows the situation with our players better then anyone else. Dhorassoo may have individually enough talent to be a squad player, but he just won't make it for other reasons obviously.

thanks for permitting me an opinion :punch: Deep squads are always good for any team. Dhorasso can allow pirlo to rest because he is a defenseive midfielder, during the Coppa Italia games.

I agree. But for some reason the romance between Dhorassoo and Milan/Ancelotti didn't work out. I don't know what that reason is.

I was surprised to see Dhorasoo listed to the A squad for the Brescia game. From all the various opinions, and new reports, it looked as if he did not fit into the game plan for Milan. It was good to see him given an oppurtunity to play, and even better that he preformed to many peoples aclaim. Why I like Dhorasoo?? I dont really know. It just seemed to me that he came from a Top Flight Team "Lyon" with lots of playing time in the starting 11. I thought that he might add a little more finess to the squad. Make our team less predictable. I would almost say that everyone knows our number right now, (so to speak). We are playing predictable fotball. At the same time, I think this would change if we were able to score more form midfeilders. Just IMO

Dhorasoo is not a bad player at all. I do not think he is a Milan-Starter material, however i do not have a problem with him staying with us untill the season is over. In fact, correct me if I am wrong, but Dhorasoo did not cost Milan a single bill. He came from Lyon on a free transfer, which ofcourse now Milan only pays his wages.

It was a move to just to put some depth in our squad even though we already had enough with Ambro, Rui, Brocchi, Serginho all available for a midfield spot. If I am not mistaken however, Brocchi was suposed to leave. That is why Milan made the transfer of Dhorasso. Brocchi opted to stay however, so now both of them are in our squad. If you ask me, they are both very good players. I really like Brocchi because of his fighting spirit. In my oppinion, he is probably the most underrated player in our squad.

There are a lot of games to be played between the Champions League, Serie A and the Italian Cup. So far we have only played 12 games in Serie A and people are already talking about giving some rest to Kaka, Pirlo and Gattuso. Seedorf has had some rest so far but the three mentioned have been on the pitch almost every game. I would like for Dhorasoo to stay ant then maybe we can even get some money for him at the end of the season, or at least make a swap deal for another more needed player, for example a striker.

I am sure Galliani had something in mind, however, I agree with most of you that it obviously did not work out for Dhorasoo. He had a great game against Brescia and I believe he can repeat the same performance, but then again we do not know when we will see him on the pitch again. Even though he has not fitted well, as I said, I would like him to stay untill the end of the season. At the end, who knows what the small guy can do. :) :dontkn:

he also played in the US in the pre-season friendlies and was pretty impressive then too. But there are players who have waited in the Milan flanks patiently and far too long to get play time for them to be ignored. Hence Dhorasso will be behind the pecking order of Brocchi (when grit is needed), Ambrosini(when grit and some speed is needed), Serginho (when wide attacks and speed is needed).
Dhorasso is essentially a Pirlo position sub - defense mid. He is small and has great balance and I have seen him make some threading passes.

coppa italia gave vs palermo. milan win 2-1. second goal an assist by dhorasso. awesome game. he's short and has tremendous balance. why on earth does ancelotti want to sell him? :)

Braida is the one who made the comment about selling Dhorasoo. Ancelotti hasn't played him much, but hasn't said anything negative about him either.

I hope he gets to stay at least until the end of the season. I have a feeling he will. Milan has most often fewarded players who keep a low profile, don't complain and perform when they get a chance.

I missed the Coppa game with Palermo, but read most everyones thoughts and comments. GREAT to hear that Dhorasoo DELIVERED. From what everyone has said, 90 % being positive support. Dhorasoo should stay!!! I was suprised to read that some of you have even placed him in the starter role over others.
Great news the Cespo scored. Now maybe all our strikers will start finding the net and relieve Sheva of all the weight, Which I think he does enjoy.

Looking forward to Shaktar, and then the resuming of Series A play. Maybe we will see a little more oppurtunity for Dhorasoo......

Forza Milan!!!

that's true. and milan have also elaborately thrown out players who whine and whinge - like davids and jean pierre papin and gullit.

dhorasso should stay patient and remember he is not at some second string mid-table english premiership or french league side. he is in the best team in italy and one of the best teams in the world where competition for first team place is very competitive. one can't expect to come into a team that has pirlo, kaka, rui costa, shevchenko, nesta, maldini and rino and expect to replace one of them as a first teamer! Vikash knows this and that's why he has been quiet.

But I really think this player will be useful to Milan.

what i love the most about him is his (lack of) height - it gives him SUPERB balance and is able to turn on a dime and lay out a pinpoint pass. he is not like pirlo who can make an overhead long pass inch perfect. but vikash can lay out perfect ground passes just like he did to seedorf that led to the goal and in the US friendly games.

I think that's exactly what Dhorasoo said in an interview with L'Equipe, the French sports paper. He said he was very happy with Milan, even though he wasn't playing much, and that he felt he was adapting well, learning the language and getting to know the team. I'm glad to see Ancelotti is willing to give him a bit of a chance.
