Milan expect to be without Pippo Inzaghi for three months after he had an ankle operation today.

The Italian international has been hampered by the injury for a year and already went under the knife last April.

Jean Pierre Meersseman, the club’s chief medical officer, is confident that the procedure was a success.

Inzaghi is expected to be on the treatment table for 12 weeks, with his return pencilled in for February.

IMO it would be better to get rid of him as quickly as possible...

I don't trust it either, but the club seems sure enough, having just offered Pippo an long contract extension. Not exactly the call I would have made.

mate gilardino is the most likely if some financial and technical problems will be solved

obviously if gila leaves parma we must insert a striker inside the deal

for ex. suazo + cash

that's what i thought :p

and i'd too expect a striker to be included in the deal, as Parma really are doing incredibly bad atm :(
(nobody wants them down :P)

cheers

Parma has allways been good at fostering young talents. Maybe Boriello or Kutuzov could be part of a deal.

I so disagree...but hey, everyone is entitled to their opinions.....though I'm sure Pippo will come back and prove his worth to the doubters....

however, I do agree with those who think that his constant injuries are something to worry about....I won't believe he is ok until I see him playing full 90 minutes matches....and scoring like his good old self :devs: ...FORZA SUPERPIPPO!!

Inzaghi had a great career, but I am afraid his best days are over. He is way too fragile and gets hurt all the time. Even if and when he recovers from the latest operation, Milan can not count on him for consistancy.

We do need another striker, and it looks like Crespo is not the man.

Personaly, I was never a Pippo fan. Even when he left Juve and scored almost all Milan goals in 02/03 UCL regular season. I do not like his attitude towards being a forward. He waits for passes and do nothing. He is inable to create smth by himself. As Sheva does. If he gets a pass stright to his legs he looks poor. Passes should be send to him only in free space. Another point I do not like is that he always play on limit - offside or not. Just it...

The Milan website is reporting that Pippo has been deemed healthy, and will be available in the coming weeks, I assume he will be coming off the bench because there is no way we don't start Crespo with the form he is currently in
